Located in the fishing village of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, is this quaint, rustic, newly restored German style cottage that is just seven minutes away from the pristine beaches of Topsail Island and sits on the banks of Fullard's Creek.
This home is tucked away down a gravel cul-de-sac road. The property sits in between the forest and the creek on the west and north sides and a gated community on the west side. It provides a quiet and serine atmosphere that allows the stress of daily life to just melt away.
The home was totally remodeled in 2020 and boasts 4 large roomy bedrooms and open concept living areas. The cottage is laid out in an H configuration with a shared bathroom between the bedrooms The first bedroom has a king size bed. The second and third bedrooms are both queen size beds. And the fourth bedroom has a full day bed and two twin beds for the children. In total the house will sleep 10 people. Each room has a 50-55 inch Samsung TVs, all of them have local channels, Samsung TV streaming, and Amazon firestick streaming through the provided WiFi. Both bathrooms are exactly alike, modern, stylish, with a luxury walk in spa shower.
For boating, fishing, and watersports enthusiasts, the property has it own private boat ramp. Fullard's Creek is a tidal inlet that will accommodate shallow draft vessels during mean and high tides. Low tides are normally too shallow to get in or out of the inlet. The inlet is a tributary that flows into Chadwick Bay. The bay, in turn, flows into the New River where you can reach the Inter Coastal Waterway or the open Atlantic. Feel free to bring an appropriate size boats, jet skis, kayaks or canoes, and launch right from the convenience of your private property boat ramp or kayak launch.
For reference only! In the photographs of the property is a photo of my vessel. This is a 19ft, center console, Tidewater Skiff. It has an 8 inch draft and can easily navigate the inlet during mean and high tides. This vessel is NOT for rent with the property. Although, there are two kayaks on the property that can be used by guest at no cost.

The Topsail area has the feel that you would expect from North Carolina coastal living. It is a mixture of Key West, Outer Banks, and Myrtle Beach without the traffic or the crowds. Within minutes of the cottage, there are restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, surf shops, and the local Food Lion. Sneads Ferry being a small fishing community, you can still find local fish markets with the catch of the day. In August, Sneads Ferry hosts the annual Shrimp Festival. For golfers, North Shores Golf Course is a well maintained course with scenic views only 5 minutes away.
North on Highway 17 is the town of Jacksonville, NC. The town is supported by a population that is largely military that are bases at Camp Lejeune. It is a 25 minute commute from Sneads Ferry and is your closest place to find some of the brand name stores and restaurants should you need something like a Walmart or a Sam's Club.
In the other direction on Highway 17 is the historic city of Wilmington, NC. This small city has all of the amenities of a large city while staying quaint and comfortable for visitors. The downtown historic district offers the beautiful Cape Fear River board walk lined with shops and restaurants that will meet all your shopping and fine dining desires. Make sure while you are visiting Wilmington that you also tour the USS North Carolina Battleship museum.
Veterans and active duty military have exclusive access to Camp Lejeune and all it has to offer.
