In the meantime, it's time to start planning World Wide Knitting in Public Day, which is coming soon, on June 8! It’s a wonderful chance to share your passion with members of your community.

What do you need to do?

First, go to the knitting-in-public website and sign up to support Astrid and keep her website and this event going. Then start planning.

Here are a few ideas for making the most of the day at your store or company.

1. Set up chairs outside and have a stitching circle. You might just get some new customers who watch and are intrigued.

2. Set up a demo of a new skill (continental knitting, embroidery, cabling without a cable needle, Tunisian crochet, etc.).

3. Teach a beginner’s class.

4. Host a mini workshop.

5. Provide delicious snacks!

6. Have a charity-knitting ready to go.

7. Have a prize drawing.

8. And be sure to share your fun on social media with the tag and .
