Roast
I had to hop on board this trend…

Oh honey, this one’s giving “Goofy-core gone glam” and I am here for it… but also legally obligated to roast it like a turkey at a Disney Thanksgiving.

First off, that dress? Loud enough to be its own parade float. Goofy is all over it like he’s your emotional support cartoon character. It’s bold, it’s bright, and it’s telling the world, “Yes, I do wake up and choose chaos. And yes, I brought snacks.”

The shoes? Golden disco balls that probably saw more action at Epcot than your step counter could track. Honestly, they look like they could’ve hosted their own rave in Tomorrowland.

Also, let’s talk about the background for a second: that ironing board lurking like it’s trying to sneak into the picture too — giving “She’s not the only one putting in work today.”

But you? Rocking it like it’s Goofy’s birthday and you’re the guest of honor who also stole the cake and made everyone laugh about it. That confident smile says, “I dare you to find a better-dressed adult in this hotel room who still knows every line from a 90s Disney sing-along VHS.”

Long story but bear with me- it’s worth it!!

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel was built in 1917 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Co. The attraction began life as the Liberty Carrousel at Belle Isle Park in Detroit, Michigan. Which means it predates Disney World and Disneyland! The Carousel Horses are hand carved from wood and are originals, just refreshed with paint every so often.

I have a photo of me and My Daddy on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel when I was itty bitty (maybe 4?) so that makes the photo 35-ish years old. I purchased a Carousel horse from the Makers Mill several months ago wanting to paint it as best I could to look like the horse I was riding with Daddy.

As many of you know I was a Lifeguard at Disney World during my college years, and still have many friends there. One of which is very special to me and that I’ve kept in close contact with. He’s now a manager at Magic Kingdom. I messaged him with very little hope that it would still be there, he then told me the information above, and went this morning, and with the help of another Cast Member they found the Carousel Horse that I was on in the photo with Daddy.

Disney is still my “Home” for many reasons- this being one of them.

And no I didn’t misspell Carrousel- that is French Spelling!
