Chenin Blanc fruit from a vineyard coming in for processing, on a project in the recent past! Tight clusters, sweet juice for a dry style somewhat like a Rhône white! The finished product was refreshing with hints of pear, apple, and apricots after aging in neutral oak for 6 months.

E.&J. Gallo has reached a deal to acquire California winery Rombauer Vineyards, known for luxury Chardonnay, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition includes the Rombauer Vineyards brand, three winery and production facilities, two tasting rooms, and more than 700 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards in Carneros, Atlas Peak, St. Helena, Calistoga, Sonoma Valley, and the Sierra Foothills. 🍷

Saturday morning fog burned off early for a sunny 😎 9am pickup at Silverado Resort! Chateau Montelena was the first stop to taste 🍷. Then we ventured back south of Calistoga to Frank Family Winery. We were a bit early but FF took care of the guests! Next, it was back to town for lunch at the Hydro Grill. Once bellies were satisfied the last winery 🍷 was Rombauer Winery with a view! Great day hosting nice people!

Next stop is Melka Winery in St. Helena for a private tasting. The driver will take clients to the Carneros Inn to get refreshed before dinner in Yountville at Bistro Jeanty at 7:15 pm! Introducing myself as the Managing Partner of Just A Taste Tours based in Napa and Sonoma!

Growing up in the Napa Valley on Howell Mountain I remember as a kid there were about 28-32 wineries in those early days! Today, there are hundreds more wineries to explore.

Fascinated by the wine 🍷 industry, my first wine biz job was working in the tasting room at Cuvaison Winery when they were located on the Silverado Trail on the north end towards Calistoga. Moved up the ranks through the years experiencing many fun 🤩 locations and brands throughout the valley I found my passion! Sharing my backyard with visitors from all over the globe!
