At the Maeklong Railway Markets you will hear the train long before you actually see it. Vendors and merchants collectively begin to coolly move their belongings and umbrellas away from the tracks as the train barrels forward, laying on its horn every now and then to warn people of its inevitable passing; this is why the market is also known as the ‘umbrella pulldown’ market. Just another day in Amazing Thailand.

DAY 5 - We awoke at 4am, sipped coffee as flames thrust hot air into a flaccid bag before our craft finally took shape. Lifting off the ground our hot air balloon soared above the action on the Maasi Mara plains. For a brief moment a cheetah, running directly below the basket, was hit by the morning sun and cast a 12 foot shadow. We seemed to float at the same speed as the cheetah, watching the muscles in his shoulders contort as he continued his quest for a morning meal.

Royalton White Sands in Jamaica is a great family resort close to the airport. Top notch accommodations and staff. Beach is small though. Great pool area and daily jerk chicken grilled by the beach is some of the best I have ever had.
