The TrekWest

The TrekWest Hand Crafted Pioneer Wares The Trek←West was inspired by a trip our family took to remember the pioneers. Our family comes from many backgrounds and locales.

We traveled across the plains, through a river, up and down hills pushing and pulling a handcart. We had the benefit of taking our “Trek West” in good weather and only traveled about 12 miles, while the actual pioneers traveled thousands of miles in treacherous conditions. In memory of our trek and the stories of our ancestors who traveled by ship, train, train, wagon, horse, foot, and handcart to

tame the Western frontier, we created The Trek←West. We wanted to display elegantly designed articles in our homes and offices to remember& #133;remember our pioneer heritage, and remember our own experiences. Pioneers all. Some traveled from Spain to Mexico to Oklahoma before following the railroads to Oregon. Some traveled from Sweden to Minnesota and then West to found the city of Bend, Oregon. Others emigrated from Norway, settling in Washington state to tame the forests as lumberjacks. And still others pushed and pulled handcarts with the Mormon Pioneers to the Utah territories where they established towns in Bear Lake and Farmington. Whatever your pioneer heritage, we celebrate those adventurous souls and their courage and passion to trek west.
