We are back up and rolling here at Capt. Gus’s Saltwater Adventures! While everyone was fishing the Legends tournament this weekend, we were busy filling the boat with our own giant red fish. I would like to take a moment to recognize Mr.Dustin Mock on his 2nd place finish this weekend at the Texas International Fishing Tournament. Dustin and I have been hunting and fishing together since he was 3 years old. His growth as an outdoorsmen gives me hope for the future of the tournament and the sport we all love. Thank you and the Mock family for letting me be a part of your boys special day. Those 8-12 year olds better watch out next year, Capt. Gus and ‘Leave you in the Dust-in Mock’ are comin’ for you!

Well thank the lord I’m slowly but surely getting back to work! We had an awesome morning sight casting pods of big black drum yesterday as they cruised by looking for a snack. Big shout out to and for the help the last two weeks. I’m not running too many trips this summer as I heal but would still love to get you out on the water. On behalf of the Saltwater Adventures crew, I would like to say thank you to all my friends and clients that helped make this season one I’ll never forget. Y’all are the ones who keep our families fed and for that I cannot thank you enough. The last day of duck season meant we had to go find some fish. The afternoon bite was out of this world.
