Back in 2017 I was in Las Vegas doing a trade show and caught Mac King Show while I was there. So the day I was leaving, I'm standing in line to board the plane and I gentleman walks up to me and says, 'you're Mac King." Before I could correct him, he went on about how much his son love my show and promised to come see me on his next visit.

I finally got a word in and said, no I'm not Mac King. But the guy insisted I was, "yes you are". I then whipped out my phone and showed him of me and Mac that I had taken at the show. Then the look of his face dropped to the ground. I've never seen a happy expression turn sour so quickly. He asked for my card and we began to board the plane. I

I told the story to Mac King yesterday and he got a chuckle out of it.

There's more... ironically, just before the gentleman walked up to me, the guy standing in line, turned around and said, 'you're the magician, you did my daughter's birthday.'

He was right! He showed me a photo of the party where I made the handkerchief appear with her name on it and also her holding the bunny rabbit.

In high school I worked at our local Shakey's Pizza Parlour (El Camino Real, Palo Alto, CA) for about 4 weeks. I was a young kid, eager to learn, but my enthusiasm quickly faded because the boss was a real jerk. One time he even referred to us workers as "f***ers.

One night, I was taking a pizza out of the oven using a large spatula called a pizza peel, which had a three-foot wooden handle. In my haste, instead of slowly sliding the peel under the pizza, I moved too quickly, and all the blackened cornmeal from the oven floor flew up and landed on the pizza. The customer's pizza ended up sprinkled with black dots, resembling crushed pepper. I can still picture him sitting there, carefully examining each bite of his black-dotted pizza.

Every night I would come home smelling like a tomato sauce.

I can still smell it today.

I never mentioned the job on my resume.

My son, Scott, 21, is leaving home on June 4th and joining the United States Air Force. Needless to say, my wife and I are enjoying every moment with him. It’s not that we haven’t enjoyed the moments before, but these last few weeks will be even more precious.
