Blown away by this post while reading it 🥰
It was such an honor to bless the vets on many a Christmas mornings to give them and their support team at the Lancaster VA HOME some Christmas cheer with tethered rides and then Lawrence and his son a flight afterwards
Awesome memories with them and all my volunteer crew that dedicated their Christmas morning blessing those who served to make this county free.
Let’s not forget their dedication then and what we all need to preserve it now - Land of the free and home of the BRAVE 🇺🇸

We're going to try it ONE MORE TIME...
Tomorrow at the Sparta Farmers Market 4-7
(or until the line ends or fuel runs out - but as always, it's WEATHER DEPENDENT)

We a praying the forecasted winds will hold true and we can put on a nice show for you at this years last day of the Farmers Market at Rolla Park in Sparta.

As a special treat, prior to the tether rides, we will be inflating our "Special Shaped" balloon, just home from the world largest balloon event - BALLOON FIESTA in ABQ, NM

Fun flight out in Aurora, MO tonight with Amy our first timer passenger. We landed in a beautiful open field and welcomed the help of some absolutely adorable neighboring kiddos.

Today in 1783, the first passengers in a hot air balloon took flight! They were a Sheep, a Rooster and a Duck!

There was some concern about the effects of high altitude on humans. The Montgolfier brothers suspended a basket below the balloon containing a sheep, a duck and a rooster. The idea was scientifically sound: The sheep's physiology was thought to be similar to a human's; the high-flying duck was unlikely to be harmed, so it was used as a control. And the rooster was included as a further control because, while it was also a bird, it did not fly at high altitudes. This is a big part of the story I tell daily after my hot air balloon flights!

Our first flight in Missouri! Was a beautiful evening to fly with Janine Smith Konstanzer from her gorgeous property and surrounding area. Upon landing we got to share the joy with tethers for an amazing family that stayed to help pack up too!
Was such a treat for me. Gracious land owners from launch to landing🥰
