Established in late 2008 by Michael Robertson and Shayne Cordevant with the goal to build the best possible drums at the best possible prices with the customers needs first. I am a drummer at heart and a master carpenter by trade, in which I have 20 years experience as a master carpenter. The idea was born out of necessity due to poor quality of some drums and high prices of major drum manufacture
s, and lack of availability in the area. Shawnee Drums and Percussion will customize each drum to fit the customer’s needs and or wants to make sure they are happy with the product. We try to keep overhead down by having the woodshop out of my home so I can pass the savings on to the customer. Besides making snare drums we also specialize in quality congas. Each drum/conga is hand-crafted to the customer’s specifications spending over 80 hours on each drum/conga using the best quality hardware and beautiful woods such as: Oak, Maple, Mahogany, Purple Heart, Cherry. The different types of woods allows for each drum to have a different tonal character of its own. Every drum will be made as if I was building it for myself. My mission with this company is to make the overall sound of the drum/conga be music to your ears. We also do any side work with wood projects u may need help with and professional gunsmithing!
