Hosting a family-friendly and pet-friendly vacation rental brings us immense joy. We take pride in offering our guests a welcoming home filled with:

- 🧸 Toys, games, and books for kids
- 🐾 Treats and beds for dogs
- 🏡 Extras to make your stay special

Most of the time, our guests exceed our expectations by following our simple checkout requests:

- 🧹 Put items back in their original spaces
- 🗑️ Dispose of trash properly
- 🍽️ Load the dishwasher

Our cleaning team works tirelessly to ensure every stay begins with a spotless home. However, recently, a guest left the house in such a state of disarray that it was overwhelming. Every puzzle, toy, and book was scattered, along with extra blankets and pillows, greasy handprints on windows, and remnants of snacks in beds and on the floors. It took two people over an hour just to pick up before starting to clean.

We invest in these items to provide a fun and enjoyable stay for everyone, but extra cleaning takes time and costs money. Our cleaning fees go directly to our dedicated cleaning team—they are not a profit center.

We love hosting and want to continue providing a clean, fun, and affordable place for families to stay. We hope this post encourages guests to consider the care and effort short-term rental hosts put into making your stay special.

Heartwarming Moments 🌟

Hosting our vacation rental brings so much joy, but nothing tops the moments when I get to meet our wonderful guests. Just the other day, a three-year-old boy staying with us saw me on the sidewalk and ran up to give me the biggest, warmest hug. Moments like these fill my heart to the top!

During this time, I show you around the home, point out special features, and ensure you feel at home. This also allows us to address any immediate needs and ensure all booking details are accurate.

Some hosts provide a key code for self check-in, which is great for late arrivals but can be risky.

Today, as we honor the brave men and women who have served our country, I reflect on the cherished memories of my childhood.

We stopped by Modern Sips Acai Bar to chat with owner Sean Scarborough and had an awesome refreshing energy drink!
