As the summer internships are ending in the U.S. it's time to celebrate all of the contributions from our interns that helped lead our business forward. Spencer Sanderson is one of the many interns that joined our teams working to connect farmers to consumers around the world, watch below as he shares about his experience this summer.

Bunge has invested significant resources to create soy value chains underpinned by our commitment to be free of deforestation in 2025.
Given our progress toward 100% of traceability to farm for both direct and indirect sourcing of soy in priority regions, we have established the soy cutoff date for deforestation and conversion of natural vegetation as December 31, 2024.
This means we will no longer source soy from areas defined as at-risk of being deforested or where native vegetation has been turned into farmland due to soy cropping.

At Bunge, safety comes first. We ask all our people to speak up and stop work when something becomes unsafe, regardless of position or experience. And we recognize the best stop work decisions our employees do every year. Continuing in our video series featuring each of our Global Safety Winners, watch below to learn why Quan Lu from our team in Tianjin, China won the Best Stop Work award.
For the second consecutive year, Bunge teams around the globe joined forces for World Food Day, giving back to the communities where we live and work throughout October. This year, our Global Volunteering Program doubled in size, making an even bigger difference!
More than 1,200 volunteers in 25 countries and more than 85 cities dedicated time to support over 95 food banks and local organizations focused on promoting nutrition education, addressing hunger and ensuring food access.
Our volunteers helped sort and pack food for children, seniors and families, prepared meals for communities and delivered nutritious foods to people in need.
“It’s amazing to see the growth of our Global Volunteering Program from its start last year,” said Robert Coviello, Chief Sustainability Officer and Government Affairs at Bunge. “Our goal was to leave a lasting impact on the communities where we operate, and with our employees’ commitment to do what’s right, we certainly did that. The number of volunteers doubled in 2023 and the amount of organizations Bunge supported tripled this year. We are proud of all of our teams around the globe.”

Our first #sustainability Ecochallenge was a success with participation from over 1,000 Bunge employees across 33 countries.
In friendly competition between regions, teams showed how we live out our belief to Do What's Right by making a collective #sustainability impact on the planet through everyday actions.
Congratulations to our North America team for achieving the most tasks, including spending more time outdoors, using less water and supporting women-owned businesses.

Acting safely at Bunge is a commitment deeply embedded in our core value to Do What’s Right. The safety of our employees, families and the communities in which we operate comes first. Every year we recognize teams and individuals in our annual Global Safety Awards to bring the best of our safety culture and best practices to the forefront so we all can learn from their example in how to drive the actions and behaviors to ensure everyone goes home safely. Congratulations to all the winners!
This #EarthDay, we celebrate the power of partnership in creating actionable change at scale. We work with our partners to advance sustainability across every point of our value chains as we continue to fuel and feed the world.
That’s why we are so proud of a #regenerativeagriculture program we just launched in Brazil! With this initiative, we’ll get even closer to farmers in the transition to low-carbon agriculture, offering diagnostics, technical support, tools, products, financing and services, while supporting global efforts to minimize greenhouse gas emissions. The program already has dozens of farmers participating, totaling around 250 thousand hectares of properties in Brazil.
More than 600 Bunge volunteers across the globe – in more than 15 countries and over 40 cities - rose to the challenge and joined forces to promote #foodsecurity in recognition of #WorldFoodDay, by giving back to the communities where we live and work.
Our teams organized and participated in volunteer efforts to support food banks and local institutions focused on promoting nutrition education, addressing hunger and ensuring access to food. This global volunteering program and philanthropic support is aligned with Bunge’s Do What’s Right value. Thank you, Bunge #FoodHeroes! ❤
