We're closing Indian Creek, Chimney Top, Rock Bridge & Tunnel Ridge Roads in the Red River Gorge today (12/19) in advance of forecasted winter storms. Warm days, freezing nights and heavy precipitation make gravel forest roads susceptible to rutting and potholes. Closed roads are still open to foot and bicycle traffic and will re-open completely once conditions allow for safe & sustainable motorized use. https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/dbnf/alerts-notices/?aid=92607

P.S. KY 77, KY 715 and Sky Bridge Road remain open, but pay close attention to the forecast as they are low priority roads for winter weather maintenance and may quickly become hazardous during inclement weather.

Beginning next week, we will start our winter hours.

This time of the year is always sad, as we wish we were able to stay open daily for everyone. We will try our best to open on days that look beautiful in the gorge, in addition to the few days we will be open.

Thank you to everyone who visited us this year, we will be open 3 days a week during the winter and would love to see you all!

The Annual Miguel’s Thanksgiving Dinner is back! We will start serving food at 5pm on Thursday, November 28th. $15 will you get a full Thanksgiving plate, with vegan and gluten-free options available.
We will be pre-selling tickets at the restaurant starting on Monday, November 25th. Buy ahead of time and skip the ticket line and get straight into the food line on Thanksgiving Day! (Purchasing a ticket in advance does not guarantee a plate of food will be set aside for you- it just allows you to bypass the front counter when you arrive!)

We’re excited to announce that the Red River Rockhouse will be open all winter long!! We’re still finalizing the details, but we will be sure to announce our winter hours of operation ❄️

The Red River Gorge typically sees fewer visitors during the colder months, but we believe the views are just as breathtaking—if not more! With the leaves (and crowds) gone, you’ll have even better views of the stunning cliff lines and valleys.
