Enjoy the journey! We are thankful to the Pepin County Highway Department for the beautiful views.

We have to give a huge shout out to Visit Pepin County and the Pepin County Highway department. The picture below is of the great river road between Stockholm and Maiden Rock many years ago. Notice the beautiful sightlines of the magnificent river! Over the years those site lines have become overgrown. Pepin County has been working over the last few years to re open the 8 to 10 designated sightline spots on the road. The work they are doing is so amazing for all of us and shows us the beauty that brings us all here! Thank you Pepin County! Keep up the good work!

Let the Celebration Begin! Just in time for the holidays! Our Christmas tea towels and postcards have arrived at the Stockholm Museum! Tea towels are quality ivory flour sack fabric, machine washable, $15 each. They make great gifts. Postcards are $1.50 each. If you’d like items mailed to you, please let me know what you’d like via messenger (payment by check to the Stockholm Institute or Zelle to Deb Aune).

Don't miss flower arranging tips at the Palate Saturday.

Spend a Saturday afternoon learning how to arrange flowers for holiday entertaining. Half hour flower arranging demos starting at Noon followed by informal flower chats. Demos: noon - flower sourcing and bud vase or small vases, 1pm table centerpiece, 2pm hand-tied bouquets. As always, glasses of wine and delicious cheeseboards will be available to enjoy.
