We're at the 2017 CTWG Howard E. Palmer Cadet Ball!
Part II of our Flag Retirement Ceremony
Flag Day was marked yesterday, 14 June, with a flag-retirement service we conducted at our Stratford Eagles Squadron. The event featured a ceremonial retirement of American flags that are no longer suitable for service. As seen in our live feed, the ashes of the retired flags were ceremoniously buried during tonight's meeting.

Major Fortes performs a reenactment of the Oath of Enlistment for one of our cadets, C/SSgt Jessie Abrams Jr. , so that fellow squadron members could witness the swearing in. C/SSgt Jessie Abrams Jr was officially sworn in to the United States Air Force in February 2017.
OPERATION EAGLE PULL III (Part II)
Stratford launched a continuation of it’s O’Flight mission of 3 Dec, in which the first day of operations was scrubbed due to weather (high winds). In this “make-up” mission, CT-022 flew 19 cadets on 4 aircraft, many receiving several flights that day. This gave the opportunity for cadets to train and qualify as flight line marshalers and train in MSA duties. Cadets even had opportunities to tour the control tower and learn about what it’s like to be an air traffic controller.
Stratford Eagle Squadron would like to thank:
Lt Col Brownell
1st Lt Proulx
2nd Lt Marcel Bou-Chahine
SM Matt Silberger
Mrs. Henry
Bob Shugrue
Ray Baduya
And all of our pilots: Burke, Salazar, Pearson, and Tremello
For their help in making this the most successful day of flight operations for our cadets in years!
A WELL DONE, TO OUR 5 MAN CREW FROM THE SQUADRON IN THE WING CADET COMPETITION FOR THEIR 1ST PLACE FINISH IN PT AND 3RD PLACE FINISH IN THE OVERALL! (We were later told that if a 6th member had been present, because of the penalty points for being a man short, that it would have made the difference between 3rd and 1st.)
Excellent work guys, we're proud of you.
Congratulations:
C/CMSgt Cremel - Team Captain/National Standard Bearer
C/SMSgt Ghajar - Squadron Standard Bearer (Unofficial Wing Record Holder in the Mile: 5:18)
C/SSgt Abrams - Right Right Rifle/Fmr Team Captain
C/SrA Quinones - Left Rifle
C/SrA Merced - Honor Guard
