Attend our Back-to-School Summer Concert at Hoosier Grove Park, 700 W. Irving Park Rd., from 7–8:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 8. The event features live music from The Messengers, who tear through modern and classic rock, today’s country and Americana, and totally unique medleys and mash-ups that leave audiences dancing, clapping and frequently speechless. Everyone sings. Everyone plays. Everyone has fun, and no show is ever the same.

A limited supply of back-to-school supplies will also be given to local children from donations by organizations in the area.

Additional proceeds from this event will benefit the Streamwood Park District Scholarship Fund, which provides recreational and educational opportunities to families in need.

Apparently the movie with that "Pool" guy and his friend in yellow spandex opens today. But in Streamwood the big summer blockbuster we're excited for is the new Spa Pool...coming soon to Park Place Aquatic Center, 550 S. Park Blvd. Our staff has been putting in maximum effort and literally breaking 4th walls to get this coming attraction open. Once it's completed, we hope you'll find four or five moments to come check it out!

Celebrate your child’s special day with a Splash Party at the Park Place Aquatic Center, 550 S. Park Blvd. Splash Parties offer an affordable and fun experience for children ages 3 – 10 years old and include:
* 3 hours in the party room and 1.5 hours in the aquatic center (part of your 3-hour rental).
* 30 minutes before/after to set up, decorate, and clean up. Trash bags/trash removal is included.
* A dedicated Party Host/Hostess to help set up with periodic checks during your party and during clean up.
* Cart to bring in and take out party supplies.

The Streamwood Park District is now hiring for a Preschool Aide for the 2024-25 school year. Under general direction and supervision of the Preschool Coordinator, the Preschool Aide is responsible for assisting the Preschool Teacher in creating a relaxed and caring environment for the children in Building Block Preschool. The Aide will assist in the preparation and implementation of lesson plans as coordinated by the Preschool Coordinator. This is a part-time position with hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:45-11:45 a.m. and follows the U-46 school calendar.

Parks and Pool Progress: Some quick updates about ongoing projects throughout your Streamwood Park District...

Butterfly Park: Playground installation is in progress at Butterfly Park, 1010 Woodland Heights Blvd. There have even been some butterfly sightings on the new playground equipment. 🦋

Woodland Park: The old playground at Woodland Park, 549 Ridge Circle, has now been completely removed.

Spa Pool: Tiling has commenced on the spa pool at Park Place Aquatic Center, 550 S. Park Blvd.
