This Saturday, January 18, come celebrate 50 years of Cuyahoga Valley National Park with an anniversary scavenger hunt! As a team, use clues to make your way through the park, uncovering the park’s history and discovering how the valley has changed. We’re thrilled to announce the long-awaited return of Steam in the Valley, an unforgettable railroading experience at Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad!

Steam in the Valley will roll out of Rockside Station April 25-27 and May 2-4, 2025.

This year’s event features the iconic Nickel Plate Road no. 765, a magnificent Berkshire-type steam locomotive built in 1944. Known for its immense power, thundering whistle, and timeless charm, this historic locomotive is a living legend that brings the golden age of railroading to life.
