Since opening in September 2005, visitors to A Little Slice of Heaven Cabin have found the accommodations to be true to the name. Guests can choose from two luxurious suites at the cabin, which is located at 8828 Golf Course Road at Sugarcreek. On one side is the Eagle’s Nest suite, which is decorated in modern rustic theme. The second suite, Country Comfort, is decorated with a rustic theme and includes pine and log furniture. Both suites have private entrances and private back decks that overlook a pond. Guests can relax on the deck with a good book while watching birds and listening to the gentle clip-clop of hooves, as Amish buggies travel down the country road. The owners, designed the accommodations to provide a romantic retreat from the every day grind. In fact, the accommodations were designed in accordance with one of the couple’s favorite Bible verses. “But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31.
