As a travel agent, I am asked by many if Disney Parks, especially Walt Disney World, are autism friendly. My answer is always YES!
Here are ten ways they are autism friendly:

1. Disability Access Service (DAS): The DAS allows guests with disabilities, including autism, to schedule return times for attractions, minimizing wait times.

2. Quiet Spaces: Designated quiet areas provide a peaceful retreat for individuals who may need a break from sensory stimulation.

3. Sensory-Friendly Attractions: Some attractions offer sensory-friendly experiences, such as reduced lighting and sound levels.

4. Specialized Services: Disney offers specialized services for guests with autism, including Disability Services, Rider Switch, and more.

5. Companion Restrooms: These restrooms offer privacy and convenience for families who may need extra space or assistance.

6. Visual Support Tools: Visual schedules and guides are available to help guests navigate the parks and understand what to expect.

7. Staff Training: Disney employees receive training on how to interact with guests with autism and other disabilities, ensuring a welcoming environment.
