Disaster Relief Donation Drive

In conjunction with the Town of Holly Ridge, we will be collecting donation items for those impacted by Helene in Western North Carolina. Items can be dropped off at Town Hall (820 S. Anderson Blvd) during regular business hours or at the Fire Department (816 S. Anderson Blvd) after business hours. We will be accepting donations through Friday, October 4th at 12:00 PM.

Governor Roy Cooper has encouraged donations to help communities recover from the catastrophic damage in a recent press release. To donate to the NC Disaster Relief Fund, visit nc.gov/donate

According to the National Weather Service we will be experiencing: • Strong wind gusts of 40 to 55 mph into this evening. • Minor coastal flooding is possible at the beaches this evening. • Large surf is also likely at the beaches. • Flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. The heaviest rainfall rates should occur Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening. • Enhanced (level 3 of 5) risk for severe thunderstorms w/ damaging winds and possibly strong tornadoes, mainly this afternoon and into this evening. If you will be travelling in the Topsail Island and surrounding areas today, especially during the afternoon and evening, monitor the current weather conditions prior to leaving. Try to avoid travelling during periods of severe weather if possible. Please note that Topsail Island bridges typically close when we experience sustained winds of 45 mph. Stay safe and weather aware!
