The affected area is over 100 water miles downstream from us (67 miles by Interstate I-79). We are thrilled to announce the NEW LOCATION for the 2025 Elk River Rail Trail Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K!

This year, our event will take place in Gassaway, WV, home of the legendary Braxton County Monster! This exciting change means no more shuttle buses to and from the start line, as there is ample parking available. The start and finish lines will remain the same, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants. Plus, you'll enjoy the convenience of numerous hotels, restaurants, and easy access to the venue.

Mark your calendars for September 14 and get ready to race! Registration opens on February 1st.

If this year's race is a success, we plan to introduce the Cyprid Challenge/Series in 2026. So, spread the word and join us for an unforgettable event!
