Some of the best views of day 4 of our Santa Barbara wine tour in April! We started off with a tour and tasting at the beautiful Presqu'ile Winery, followed by a picnic lunch on their picturesque grounds.

Next up was a visit to the Olive Oil Source for a tour and tasting of their delicious oils and vinegars.

To cap off the day, we enjoyed a private winery dinner at Section Wines Winery. The food and wine pairing was exquisite and the company was even better 🍇🌿

The first full day in Santa Barbara Wine Country. Our initial tasting table outside in the courtyard of Dierberg in Happy Canyon. So Serene with the beautiful green mountains in the backdrop. The view, the cave tour, the tasting, it was a true experience!

🍷🧀 Day 3 of our Santa Barbara wine country trip in April was a cheese and wine lover's dream come true! We started off with a fantastic wine and cheese pairing experience at Cailloux Cheese Shop, where our group indulged in some delicious local cheeses paired with exceptional wines.

Next, our group enjoyed a private tasting at Taste of Sta. Rita Hills, where they got to sample some truly exceptional wines! For lunch, the group had a deli spread from Panino Los Olivos!

The afternoon was spent at Story of Soil, where we were treated to a guided tasting of some amazing wines.

At the start of our Santa Barbara Wine Tour, our group enjoyed an incredible tasting at the city of Santa Barbara's very own, the Pali Tasting Room! Afterwords, we headed over to Buellton Industrial Eats for a wonderful dinner, paired with Ken Brown wines.

Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone
We’ll be here in April! Yes, in beautiful Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, a unique blend of Santa Barbara arts, culture, business, and industrial district. This amalgamation of historical marine structures, industrial lots, and houses has a unique history in manufacturing, lumber, citrus, produce, and fishing. Converted warehouses and buildings decorated with graffiti murals and contemporary art pieces set the tone for this hopping section of town.

This district spans the area between the ocean and Highway 101 and is adjacent to the Amtrak station. Surfboard shapers, winemakers and up-and-coming chefs all practice their crafts here. Over the years, many artists have found creative freedom by carving out studio spaces in this “funky” area of Santa Barbara, and so have wineries, restaurants, art galleries, and shops that cater to Santa Barbara’s contemporary side. It has become a favorite in recent years.

It’s fun just to simply walk around and look at the street art, murals, and graffiti, and talk to the pop-up vendors. The Funk Zone is part of Santa Barbara’s Urban Wine Trail. Approximately half of the twenty plus tasting rooms that comprise the Urban Wine Trail can be found in the Funk Zone. And the beauty of it all, is it’s 100% pedestrian-friendly.

But …. Our tour group is here just for a stopover on our way to Santa Barbara County’s Wine Country. We’ll have a tasting at Pali Winery’s Tasting Room with lunch from the Lucky Penny.

Smell that ocean air, ahh, then relax, and sip the wines. The Funk Zone is unique and wonderful! Put it on your Bucket List.
