Had the absolute pleasure to fish in the 7th annual ADDO fishing tournament.
I had a great family aboard for the second year. This ear their goal was to get a .
We worked most of the morning trying to get one to eat. While we we’re working the tarpon we managed to get a few and couple and a few other species.
We finally hooked a tarpon and did a great job fighting it. After a long battle we were able to land a nice tarpon around 4’!
We ended the day adding a few and .

Another great week is in the books.
The weather got hotter each day but the bite remained consistent throughout the week.
We targeted different species each day and were successful with the exception of sharks.
These boys were super patient and really enjoyed working to get this species we were targeting.

We have a week off to enjoy Independence Day and recoup for the 2nd half of summer.

Looking forward to a great 2nd half of camp and pursuing some monsters!

We were met with some seriously bad weather on day 5
I knew we would have to stay close keep the crew safe.
We took a short ride and started working the bushes for fish. It took a bit but we finally found a few that we willing to play. We ended up boating two and added a nice to end the week.
Took a short ride over to the marina and finished our day off with ice cream.

Had an amazing day 4 at today.
We started out looking for and kept spooking . After about a 10 minute search I couldn’t take it anymore and put down the Power Poles and started fishing.
It took a few minutes before our first bite, but they continued to eat and really started chewing when the tide came ripping in.
At one point we had multiple doubles and even had one triple hookup.
We stayed until the girls were tired and wanted to go swimming.
We took a nice boat ride back which allowed us to cool off a bit.
Maybe redfish tomorrow??

Day one of week #3

Today the fish finally decided to end their week long hunger strike.
My great group of young lady anglers landed trout, , and .
They had a great day and we left them biting to go swimming before heading in.

Week two of is a wrap. This week we really had to work to get a good bite. I’ll give the credit to the kids for fishing hard all week and keeping a positive attitude.

Day two of
We spent the morning targeting but couldn’t manage to get one in the boat. We decided to switch species when the ride switched. We went on the hunt for , and . We got the trout and mackerel to cooperate but no luck with the sharks.
Tomorrow we will target snook and redfish again.

First day of week two at
With a big full moon we knew the bite would be tough.
We targeted to start the days and put some fish in the boat.
After landing a few trout we made a move to target . We tried a few spots with no bites. We decided to make one more move and target and .
We missed quite a few mackerel before landing an nice one. We missed a few more before returning to for lunch.

What a day
The fish really made us earn it today.
Lost a really nice to some underwear structure and that was one of our only bites until the last hour of our day.
Finally the tide started going out and the bite turned on.

We landed quite a few snook and trout.
We’ve landed two redfish both around 25”.
Right at the end of our trip today we landed a measuring over 25”.

Had the pleasure to fish in the 2022 Pediactric Cancer Inshore Fishing Tournament.
We fished hard for two day and ended up 3rd overall in the devision and missed 3rd place slam by 1/2”.
Another great event for an even better cause.

Had the pleasure once again to fish in the annual Team ADDO All Hero’s Open Inshore Fishing Tournament.
This event was like the last one where each species counted for points. Total points determined the winning team.
We duplicated our pattern from Friday and with the exception of two species had the same good fortunes.
I had a dad who brought his two sons aboard. I don’t know who had more fun, the boys catching fish or thief dad watching them! What a great event for an even better cause.

Had a great repeat customer out today. He brought along a friend and coworker.
They wanted to target and then possibly get a few fish for dinner.
We we’re pretty successful landing around 10 snook. We picked off a few redfish at each spot with this 28” beauty being our best.
We ended up at a great spot and put two in the well before some seriously bad weather chased us back to for an late lunch.
We had a great day on and caught a few good fish to boot.

Got to get one more trip in with my sons before they go back to school. We worked hard for just a few bites before deciding to head in due to some lightning flashing around us.
We made one quick stop before calling it. It definitely paid off with Evan landing this monster . He did an amazing job to keep her out of many structures and was able to stay calm long enough to get her in the net boat side.
We kept her in the water until we were ready to take some pictures, we didn’t measure or weigh her but I’m estimating 40” and 25lbs.
He said this is my “PB” snook for sure. Now all I need is a tarpon!
Great times for sure, get out on the water with your kids and enjoy.

We had a good week of fishing and managed to catch just about every species that calls home.
It’s been a great summer and I’m blessed to be able to fish in this amazing camp.

Another week in the books
We had to work for it this week but we caught some really nice fish, the biggest being a fat 33” .
I had a great group that really wanted to target quality fish which decreases the overall numbers but makes the fishing much more technical. They did a great job and were quick learners.

End of another great week at
We are half way through summer camp 2022. It’s been an amazing summer so far. Tampa Bay has really shown us what an amazing fishery she is!
This week I had older anglers that were experienced fishermen which allowed me to use some different tactics and fish lots of different styles. One day we would fish docks, one day deep water mangrove trees, grass flats and even ran out to the Gulf beaches to fish passes. I’m pretty sure my group loved Tampa Bay and will be back for more in the future!

Day four at
We started the day searching for “big uglies” . After searching for them for about an hour we shifted gears and went on the hunt for
We quickly located a nice school and worked them for almost two hours. We boated about 20 snook before the heat chased us off.
We spent the last part of the day fishing before taking the boys back to so they could cool off and have lunch.

We had a slow tide which made the bite slow as well. We began by targeting which we actually hooked and lost three. We did land a few and lost a few other fish too.
Once the tide started coming in we mad a move to target . They didn’t disappoint, we landed close to 20 in less than an hour. We rode back to with big smiles and a few good fishing stories.
