30 years ago today, Disney’s was roaring into theaters and our hearts with award-winning songs, the true telling of the circle of life, and the spectacle of the animal kingdom! Since that day, we have seen the Broadway production soar with more touring companies than I can name and even a live-action remake. The Lion King was an epic story bringing kids and kids at heart together to share in feeling the love. Growing up, the Main Street Electrical Parade was always my favorite! I can still do the whole intro from memory. This might be as close as we are going to get stateside for a while in the form of the Dreams That Soar drone show now at Disney Springs. As the sun sets, make your way to the west side to witness this awesome display of technology, lights, and memories! They are saying it will only be shown through the beginning of September but I’m hoping that it may get an extension.

Looking for something that is that VERY RARE thing Walt Disney World:free?!? Next time you are in Magic Kingdom, stop by the ticket booth outside of Storybook Treats opposite Dumbo and pickup a scavenger hunt map sponsored by Scentsy. Take your time searching for each Smellephant and mark its location on the map. The best part it that each one smells like the snack they are themed after! While it may make you hungry, this is a fun, free little side quest for the whole family!

Really cool run-in with rare (and random) characters in the American Pavilion of EPCOT today! I know that sometimes there are one or two characters that come out down the path next to the Regal Eagle, but all of these (and Meeko and Piglet but I didn’t get their picture) were out at the same time and roaming around like Disneyland! It was a truly magical moment. I also have NEVER seen any of the Country Bears outside of Frontierland in Magic Kingdom so that was rare in itself. Disney Character Photos
