Let's spill some tea on Flight Insurance.
Do you need it? Yes! In this current evnvironment, you need to insure your trip.

The tea: Know what your what policy covers! The lowest costing policy will give you a credit (not cash), spend a little more, and your cash is back in your hands....but wait....not so fast....Literally, it can take up to 4 weeks to get your cash back.

Government mandated restrictions (shut down because of Rona) isn't covered. Read that twice.

You can seek a CFAR (cancel for any reason) or a CAT (cancel at any time) but a travel agent (that's me) will guide you on the language that needs to be used to get an effective outcome. Not every state offers CFAR.

Don't be fearful of travel insurance. You are flying at a risk if you aren't insured in this environment. If you catch Rona (which is now seen as Forseen) no one is feeling sorry enough to give your money back. You need insurance.
