The Dune Climb in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a favorite of ours in any season, but we especially love it in the fall. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan and Glen Lake and one heck of a workout!

One of our favorite area hikes... the Manistee River Loop of the North Country Trail. A short drive from Bearski Cabin and just incredible scenery along the trail... lots of little streams, waterfalls and narrow footbridges to cross them. Definitely worth checking out when you stay at the cabin. And definitely worth clicking through the photos to see the footbridges and the smile we found on our hike!

One of our favorite hikes and fall is a great time for it! The Baldy Trailhead in Arcadia Dunes has beautiful paths through the woods and gorgeous views of Lake Michigan. These were taken on Sunday, so you can see that there is still some fall color hiking to be done this year!

Peak leaf season is here! It was a beautiful view from the mountaintop yesterday and it looks like the trees still have some changing to do. There's still next weekend for chairlift rides (Saturday is the last day of the season) and great views of the fall colors!

We were introduced to this little trail by a guest and now make it a regular outing as it's so close to the cabin. Misty Acres Trail is just a six minute drive from Bearski Cabin and a beautiful little walk through the woods. The leaves are just now starting to really change.... still time to book a stay this leaf season!
