Let’s talk about the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos! I had the pleasure of getting to stay there for 5 days and I want to tell you all about it.
1. Rooms = 3.5/5 stars
We had a standard room and for being a standard room, the view and the size were amazing! We had a beautiful view of the pools as well as the ocean! The size of the room was also pretty nice. Spacious bathroom with whirlpool bath tub. Huge king size bed (although it was two beds pushed together to form one). Nice spacious seating area with a couch and then the balcony! Decor of the room was nothing special. Typical looking hotel room and there were definitely things in the room which needed some tlc, but overall pretty nice room.
2. Pools = 4/5 stars
There are 3 pools and a splash pad. Two of the three pools are family friendly and the last is 18+. The splash pad is in a totally different area of the resort from the pools, which I thought was nice, but if you’re looking to have your family all together swimming/playing at the splash pad, you might not like that. One thing to note, is the pool bar is in a family friendly pool and kids do go up to the bar to garb (nonalcoholic) drinks. Overall, the pools were kept very clean and were perfect to hangout and relax in. The pool bar, pool is also an infinity pool, with a beautiful view of the beach and ocean.
3. Food = 3/5 stars
Being an all-inclusive, this resort has a lot of options in restaurants to choose from and I did not get to try all of them, so I can only judge based off of the food we had. The food was good, not amazing though. There is definitely something for everyone with all the restaurant choices, but in my opinion, none of the food I had is something to write home about. I loved the juice bar though and having a 24/7 coffee shop was awesome! All the food I had was good, don’t get me wrong, just not outstanding.
4. Beach = 3.5/5 stars
If I was basing it on beauty, I would give it 5/5. It’s a beautiful beach, however if you like to swim in the ocean, you’ll be very disappointed, since you can’t do that here. The waves are far too intense to go in the ocean. There are also vendors trying to sell you stuff all over the beach. Once you tell them “no” they normally don’t keep bothering you. Overall it’s a nice beach to walk on.
5. Service = 4.5/5
The staff was amazing (for the most part). Very kind and caring people who truly want to make sure you have a great vacation. The pool bar can get busy and it can take awhile to get a drink, but overall the staff is very attentive and friendly.
Overall, the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabo’s was a beautiful family friendly (more adult friendly in my opinion) all-inclusive resort. When we were there, there weren’t a ton of families, mostly adults. It’s definitely a fun resort, with different activities at the pools, for both kids and adults, along with different parties and events going on each night. We loved our stay there.
