We love and always try to encourage our members to get together and collaborate.

UPDATE: Gene Torres Invitational Golf Tournament:

We have a couple teams still open and would REALLY like this to be as "Local" a Tournament as possible.

So, if a Verified Member of the Trinidad Golf Course registers they will receive a $50 discount ($100) to play. A Team of 4 Course Members will be $400.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
SCP is broke. We have insurance and internet to be paid and we are down to $1.16 in our bank account. We had been paying these two bills with personal funds and we can not do that any more as we have our own bills to pay.

We are asing for $5 or more donations so we can keep open as we have people to feed. Pantry is stocking up with food donations and so far so good. But we need to have the insurance and internet to stay in work. Please help us stay open. Other wise we close after Friday till we get in the funds we need to continue. We are not giving up. Don't give up on the SCP please.

We appreciate all donations and all our wonderful volunteers.

Blackwell flycatchers at 6:35 gates open at 5:30 $1.00 Beer Night!!!

Sunday, July 28th:
Last day of the regular season Tequilas Mexican Family Restaurant Fiesta Sunday for Mt. Carmel Military Affairs-military, veterans and first responders day. All tickets are $2 off: On Sunday we play a 3:05 PM matinee game-the gate opens at 2 o'clock. Stay after the game and catch the Las Ánimas County 1st Responders play the Trinidad Triggers in the Annual Blue Game of Kickball! .

CENTRAL PARK RENOVATION RIBBON CUTTING...

The City of Trinidad Colorado, invites you to attend
a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the
Central Park baseball field and stadium facility renovation.

The ribbon cutting will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, 5:30 p.m.
at Central Park, 700 Smith Avenue, Trinidad

Everyone is welcome to attend!!

A photo will be taken to mark the occasion as depicted in the early photo above. The Trinidad Triggers will play at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

Tickets are available at the gate for the game; ribbon cutting ceremony is free.

The Chamber would like to encourage all our members to attend, this is kind of a big deal for our community.

Three (3) on the Board of Building Code Appeals

Two (2) alternates on the Board of Building Code Appeals

Two (2) on the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission

Two (2) Urban Renewal Authority Commission

Two (2) on the Corazon de Trinidad Historic Main Street Board

Two (2) on the Urban Forestry Board

One (1) on the Library Advisory Board

One (1) on the Historic Preservation Commission

One (1) on the Housing Authority of the City of Trinidad.

· In order to be considered eligible to serve individuals must be a resident of Las Animas and have resided within the County for not less than one year immediately preceding appointment and must be registered to vote.

Gene Torres Invitational Golf Tournament

Trinidad Native Gene "The Rock" Torres, considered one of the top PGA Professionals from Colorado (and the best from our Region).

He will be inducted into the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame December 2024.

A little history:

He graduated from Trinidad High School in 1956 the same year he won the Trinidad Golf Invitational, was the Club Champion of Trinidad Golf Course, won the Colorado State High School Golf Tournament. Gene was the Top High School Golfer in the State.

He honorably served in the Navy aboard the USS Shangri-La CVA-38.

He won more tournaments that this space will allow.

Gene was a Trinidad Champion.
