Believe it or not, this photo was taken in January of 2015, at Donner lake. This was the first year of guiding for me and the first Lake Trout over 15 pounds.
Since then, my boat(s) have caught and released 130 Lake Trout (Mackinaw), over 10 pounds, (from Donner).
Here's to another 10 years and to many, many more life long memories!!!
I miss those sunglasses 😎

Tried the afterbay today. Lots of bites, but they kept going into the weeds. Very strong fish, for hatchery Steelhead. The one we landed was 3.5 pounds.

Biggest out of 4 to the boat was 7.5 pounds, a rainbow trout eater. We started at 9am and had 11 bites, but could only get 4 to stick. Beautiful day and great clients!

It's been a great year and it's not over yet! But as the summer season winds down, I just wanted to thank everyone for coming out to fish with me! The last day with this group, bundled up in a reel. We sacrificed the good morning kokanee bite to chase trout and were rewarded right away with a little 16 inch rainbow! Then immediately after we sped back up, 5# brown (released)! Then boom! 5# rainbow! And another 2 pounder!! At 8 am, I began switching gears for kokanee and we landed 10 and let 2 smalls go before the big wind started. All in all a successful day!!
