I just had to share this graphic that I saw used to describe how easy it will be to drive in the UK if you’re used to traveling in Florida. Guys, I hate to break it to you, but the Irish countryside is NOT I-75😂 Unfortunately I get this a LOT. Clients come in huge itinerary expectations for a short trip to Ireland. Listen; however much or little we put in that Ireland itinerary, it’s going to GREAT, however this demonstrates why it’s SO important to use a qualified travel agent such as myself. Facebook travel groups are loaded with misinformation and ChatGPT UK itineraries are just hilariously off the mark. Don’t waste your precious time on your vacation trouble-shooting all the bad intel you got from social media. Let me help you out!

💀I know, I know, we JUST finished dying Easter eggs but actually now is the time to plan your HHN vacay! Why? Because the hotels that give you all the expensive perks for FREE are limited and are going to fill up quickly! Every now and then clients will say they’ve “done” Universal. Not until you’ve experienced both coasts! I honestly didn’t expect to love Hollywood as much as did because I too had “done” Universal.

Here’s what’s different in the West Coast park that’s totally worth the flight:

🍄 Super Nintendo World was EPIC!

🎥 The World Famous Studio Tour - honestly I wanted to do this one twice…maybe even 3 times!

🎢 I liked the layout better with kids. It’s not as much walking and the stuff for littler kids is grouped together.

👀 You have to see it to understand but seriously the VIEWS OF HOLLYWOOD! Due to the fact it’s literally built in the Hollywood hills the park is constructed in levels and the views from the escalator stopped my family in their tracks! It’s such a different experience to walk around a working studio IN Hollywoodz And, yes celebrity sightings happen!

🌴 The LA experience. If you’ve been around here for a minute, then you know I LOVE LA! I know it’s a controversial opinion but I promise if you book your LA trip with me you’ll love it the way I do too! As many times as I’ve been, I still have tons of stuff left on my to-do list and I can curate the PERFECT custom itinerary for you.

Impressing teenagers is SOOOO hard!!! Our go-to’s are definitely amusement parks but it doesn’t always have to be big and expensive! Teenagers LOVE a chill day and here’s why:

🛹 The world famous .skatepark makes for some amazing people watching

🏄‍♀️ Surfing lessons? Yes plz

🏖️ Just hanging out…on the beach. IDK but teens just like hanging out - not much more to it😂 Pack a picnic, selfie stick and Bluetooth speaker and they’re good to go! The water is pretty cold but you’ll see some brave souls (Canadians🇨🇦) out there

🛍️ So much kitschy shopping along the boardwalk!

🏀 Pick-up games abound and everyone is super friendly

🚲🛼 Biking and skating on the parhways along the beach down to Santa Monica Pier

🪐Confession: I wasn’t that psyched about this particular part of the itinerary because it’s a planetarium and sorry but I’ve done those. HOWEVER…I admit I completely underestimated this gem! was STUNNING! Here’s what you need to know:

📸 It’s famous for it’s incredible views of the Hollywood sign, LA & even the Pacific on a clear day. We even caught a bride & groom doing photos!

🔭 The museum AND the telescopes are free to public!

✨ Planeteium shows are for a fee and require tickets (purchased at the observatory)

⚡️ Live Tesla Coil demonstrations throughout the day (free)

🥾 Do NOT miss the fantastic hiking trails throughout the grounds

💎 My favorite part: a beautiful collection of cosmic jewelry collected by friends over 25 years.

🧳The packing has begun! Ever since we moved to Arizona everyone has been recommending we hit Santa Monica with the kids and I’ve been doing some research for our upcoming trip👇

☀️The theme of the day is laid back California beach bum so no rushing or hard itinerary. We’ll probably start the morning checking out 3rd Street Promenade and poking around the town to find some souvenirs and snacks to add to a packed picnic basket for lunch on the beach later. Santa Monica is known to be touristy in all the right ways - no tchotchkes from overseas, just cool locally made gifts.

🎢 The plan is to “rope drop” (I see you Disney fans) the on the pier🎡 I can’t wait to see the Pacific Ocean from the top of that famous Ferris wheel!

🏖️Planning to picnic on the beach and hopefully see some surfers!

🐳From there we’re really excited to visit to learn about the local aquatic life and the team’s efforts to keep the bay healthy.

🚲Lastly I think we might rent some beach cruisers and bike down to Venice Beach to watch the skate boarders, do some people watching and grab dinner.

🎢Less than 2 weeks before I’m in Los Angeles for Spring Break with husband and kiddos! I’m SO excited about this itinerary but it’s way too much to share in one post so I’ll be posting every day with something I’ve planned and I’ll be letting you in on the what, why and how so that you get a peak at how a travel advisor plans a trip.

We’ve loved so much over the years and have been dying to see since moved to the west coast. My kids are most looking forward to 🍄 Super Nintendo World🌟So far you can only see this in the California park (opening Summer 2025 in Orlando and by then I’ll be your expert on it!). Here’s what I’ve done to prep:

⏰ We’ve purchased Early Entry and Express Pass specifically to beat the Spring Break crowd into this land. The famous Mario Cart ride is the only ride not included with Express pass (only VIP) so we’ll be headed there first. Park hours vary so we’ve checked our date and plan to be at the parking deck when they open an hour before early park access.

🍄 We’ll stop off in CityWalk to purchase our Power-Up Bands. We’ll be able to scan these around SNW to collect digital keys and complete challenges!

🌟 I’ve already downloaded the USH app so I’ll be able to start making our dining reservations as soon as the we enter the park. Toadstool Cafe looks super cute but just serves lunch so I might grab a lunch reservation.

📸 We definitely want to meet 👑Princess Peach 🍑, Toad, Mario & Luigi for photos and chances to collect keys

🎮 & we’ll be exploring all the interactive games around the world with our Power-Up Bands

🐘Do you know about this behind-the-scenes, AFFORDABLE small group tour at Disney World?! This elephant tour at Animal Kingdom is one of absolute favorite things to book for my clients AND myself so you know it’s good even for a park regular who has seen and done most everything. I love this festival because it combines my 2nd favorite, The Food and Wine Festival, with everything I love about Spring time: the great weather, gorgeous flowers, bright Spring flavors and of course The Food Network is there! 🌍✈️ Planning a family adventure? 🧳 Ensure your little explorers are passport-ready! Here’s a quick guide on obtaining passports for your kiddos:

👶 **For Children Under 16:**

📝 Application Form: Complete form DS-11.

🇺🇸 Proof of Citizenship:Birth certificate or other evidence. *Note the original will be kept with your application and mailed back to you with the passport.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parental Consent:**Both parents must be present or provide notarized consent.

📸 Passport Photos: 2 identical photos per child. You can get these at most drug stores or may be offered at the office when you apply for the passport (for a fee, our’s were $15/each).

🪪 Parental ID: Both parents need valid photo IDs.

💵Fees & payment: Check the website for current fees. I always recommend getting the full book, NOT the card (our’s were $100/each). Check or money orders is preferred, but some facilities may accept cash, credit/debit or e-payment.

⏰ Check processing times and apply well in advance.
