I cannot wait to be back at this spectacular property just next month for my Disneyland trip! You guys know I love an on-site property, especially down in Disney World, but it’s just hard to beat the JW Marriott for so many reasons. Their bar is my first stop after a long day of travel on my way to my room where I get a perfect cocktail every time. I also love to book a dinner reservation at the rooftop restaurant for my arrival day just to keep things simple and get my taste of Disneyland with an epic view of Pixar Pier from my table and you can’t beat the convenience of grabbing your coffee and pastry on the way out the door each morning to the parks. Final installment of my best cruise tips! People often think cruise planning is straight forward. I’ll be honest - I used to be the park guest who was too busy with rides (and dining!) to watch the shows. Now I know better though and I always plan to be front for the Triwizard Spirit Rally! The first time my daughter went or @universalorlando with me she was dying to see Hogwarts Castle….however the ride terrified her! She said “I just wish I could see inside again without having to ride.” Forbidden Journey IS intense for little bitty witches and wizards but did you know you can JUST walk through the queue? Yes! Simply tell the team members at the entrance you don’t want to ride and you’ll be allowed to walk through the queue - no need to store your bags - and at the ride entrance, tell the team member you’re not riding and you’ll be directed to a side exit - through the gift shop of course! Don’t get me wrong, I love Magic Kingdom, but it can be exhausting. Whether you’re an adult with sensory overload or have little bitties in-tow who just need some downtime, this is one of my favorite “escapes.” A quiet ride on the Liberty Belle over to Tom Sawyer Island is a great way to blow off some steam (lol, see what I did there?) and get some space. You don’t even have to get off the riverboat! I often just ride right back after I’ve had nice little break from the crowds and noise. As an adult who suffers from over-stimulation headaches, I’ve found LOTS of little escapes for quiet moments in the parks.
