Desert Moon On The Rise!- A steady hand gets the shot! This one took some deliberate breathing and concentration with my 8 pound lens and nothing to stabilize it on. The full moon was pretty spectacular as it rose over the ancient Saguaros on Usery Mountain in Arizona.

BREAKING NEWS: U-PICK IS BACK!

Every Tuesday afternoon from 4-6 (starting January 24), we will be hosting a pick-it-yourself farm market, (just like we used to) but from now on, this will be at the BIG FARM at 2201 E. Roger Road.

Come on by the farm (look for the windmill), go around to the back, get your basket and clippers and go home with some organic farm-fresh goodness for your table! You'll have the satisfaction of having wandered the fields, enjoying the spectacular views of alpenglow on the Catalinas, and harvesting your own food.

Here's what we will have...

Veggies for picking: kale, chard, arugula, mustard greens, tatsoi, mizuna, pak choi (low quantity), leaf lettuce, head lettuce, spinach (low quantity), kohlrabi, broccoli, cilantro, dill, oregano, rosemary, thyme

Pre-picked: Magdalena big cheese squash, kale, chard, butternut squash, tatsoi, mizuna, mustard greens, head lettuce, large radishes, turnips, broccoli

We will have these veggies coming soon: carrots, Chinese cabbage, kalettes
