Astronomy, architecture, and beautiful grounds to explore at Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay (30 min drive from the cabin).

On this day 103 years ago, Einstein came to America for the first time after being awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on the photoelectric effect. He only asked to see two places during his visit: one was Niagara Falls, and the other was Yerkes Observatory! He may have been here for only 4 hours, but we haven’t stopped talking about it since. The oriole has returned! Baltimore orioles spend winter in central and South America then migrate back to the Eastern US. Last summer he hung around the cabin a few weeks. We will leave him oranges to keep him interested :)

Friday nights in Twin Lakes, grab a drink and some food truck fare 😀

Sorry for all of the Event Posts yesterday, that happens automatically when you create an event. I just had such a great response for Food Truck Fridays, I thought I would use my day off to get all of the Events created. If you’re ever wondering what’s happening at Cup O’ Joe, you can always go and check out our Events on our page, but if you’re a true Foodie and you want to make sure you don’t miss what’s happening at our Food Truck Fridays, here’s a list for you to save. These are only the April & May dates. We are booking more now through October and we are trying to get as many different kinds of foods as we can! We won’t have the same cuisine close together to ensure that we keep it fun and different!

We don’t want to, by any means, step on any other local restaurants toes either, so just know that we are hoping that this might bring more people into Twin Lakes to explore what we have here. Food Trucks bring their Followers and we would love to show their customers that wouldn’t normally come into our little Village what we have to offer. I will be making flyers of all the local places in town for them to check out! This is merely to create something new to do for Happy Hour, one day a week, in town during our busiest season. Our kitchen will be closed, but our patio and dining room will be open for indoor and outdoor seating. Our Bar will be open and serving all of our regular drinks and Cocktails.

Make your plans now and share with your Friends to come for Happy Hour on Food Truck Fridays at Cup O’ Joe, then explore the rest of the restaurants and bars we have within walking distance!
