💫Nestled in the serene landscapes of Andover, Maine, Devil’s Den is a captivating natural attraction that offers visitors a blend of adventure and tranquility. This hidden gem features a series of cascades, horsetails, and small plunges that descend approximately 30 feet through an enchanting gorge, culminating in a sizable pool ideal for swimming during gentle water currents. 💫

Adjacent to the cascades lies the Devil’s Den cave, an intriguing formation that adds a sense of mystery to the area. The site is accessible via a short, easy trail, making it suitable for visitors of varying hiking abilities. The combination of the cascading waters and the unique cave structure provides a picturesque setting that is both peaceful and awe-inspiring.

To reach Devil’s Den, begin in Andover and take ME 120 east for about half a mile, crossing a bridge over the Ellis River. Turn left onto South Arm Road and continue north for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach a fork; take the left turn here. Proceed for another 2 miles before turning left onto an unmarked dirt road, known locally as Devil’s Den Road. Drive a short distance on this road and park just before the bridge over Black Brook. The cascades and cave are located about 30 feet downstream from this bridge.
