My father in law is sick. Because of a ransomware attack on the hospital they haven't been able to access the test results to know for sure what is going on, but it is strongly suspected that he has some form of leukemia.
They are waiting on an appointment to get him tested again elsewhere, but in the meantime he has been unable to work for months and the family needs help.

Just finished a new painting tonight. I am very excited about how well it turned out! There were several touch and go moments during it's creation, but it turned out so much better than I feared and I am so happy with it!

I was able to remove the paint layer from my linocut and now it is making beautiful prints! I am so happy with how this turned out.

I finished and tested my latest lino. In my ignorance as a beginner, I used acrylic paint to color it before carving. This has led to a poor coverage with the ink and a patchy print. So, now to go about removing the paint so I can get a clean print.
I am pleased though, at how little chatter there is in the blank spaces. I wanted this to be a very clean print.

Finished the sun, and the moon and got about halfway through the stars this evening. After those are done I just have to carve out all of the background which will hopefully go a little faster since I won't be worried about detail work. If all goes to plan, I maaaay be able to finish it in my free time over the next two days. Perhaps tomorrow if I REEEAALLLY push it.

Left it here last night. The slow, deliberate process of carefully carving is very relaxing mentally but a bit tiring for the hands. My last carve spoiled me a bit since I was using a much softer material. But, if I can get through this without accidentally botching any of the bits then it will be well worth it.

Starting the carve on an enlarged version of my previous design. Taking it nice and slow, so let's hope it pans out the way I want it to.

On April 8th, 2024 we will get to experience a total solar eclipse. Because of that, I have created a new design and I will be selling it in various forms for anyone who would like a hand made souvenir of the event.
The photos below are a few sample images, and I am also carving a larger version of the design for adult shirts and bigger prints.
At this time I will be offering black prints on white, or white prints on black depending on availability.
Adult T-shirts $20
Youth sizes $15
Small children or onesies $12
Tote bags $12
Prints and note cards will be available also, pricing based on size and quantity.

I will be making these as ordered so a materials deposit is required when you order. I can be paid via paypal or cash on delivery.
I will be offering these items indefinitely but to receive them before the eclipse please order and pay your deposits no later than March 29th.

Finished up a new piece tonight! I was thinking of smudging black paint on the outside of the box, but I think it works better leaving it as is.
Found a use for my salted flowers much sooner than I expected.

Well, the salt seems to have absorbed moisture from the atmosphere too, so it looks like the flowers dried, and then got moist again. I'm going to leave them in the open with airflow around them and see if they will dry out completely.
Maybe they'll work for an odd Victorian momento mori type of piece.

Just found the container of flowers I decided to dry in salt....over a year ago. This should be interesting.

Hey everyone! It's been a while, I know. I've been busy trying to get ready for a new baby and haven't really had time for creating lately.
But, recently we had to pull down some vines that were growing up the side of the house. So I took the chance to use them instead of trashing them and voila! I whole boxful of hand wrapped wreaths! All told there are 31 med-super small and 47 TEENSY WEENSY ones.
It was a lot of fun to make these, and hopefully I will soon have time to decorate some of them as well.

Not perfect, but I'm really not mad about it either. I need to read up on techniques some more and keep trying, but I am really happy with this effort.
