Take a peek at our first glimpse of Lightning Lane morning in action. This family is staying at a qualifying Walt Disney World resort hotel, so they are eligible to log onto My Disney Experience at 7am 7 days prior to check in to get first dibs at their pre-select rides & attractions! They can choose one Tier 1 ride and two Tier 2 rides for each purchased day ahead of their arrival (pro tip: there are no tiers in Animal Kingdom!) And once they are inside the parks, they can choose an additional ride after scanning into each of their Lightning Lanes. They will arrive with my Lightning Lane Park Plan in hand, ready to tackle their day!

As a Travel Planner specializing in destinations directly affected by the Atlantic Hurricane season, I spend a lot of time tracking developing storms to ensure the safety of my clients. Those currently in the path of Hurricane Beryl continue to be in our prayers to remain safe during this storm.
We continue to track the potential for an above-average Atlantic Hurricane Season in 2024. So how can you best prepare for travel during Hurricane Season to Walt Disney World?
• As your Disney expert & Travel Planner, I will always, always, always recommend that you consider purchasing Travel Insurance for your vacation, *especially* during Florida’s hurricane season which runs from June 1 to November 30. Make sure you are reading your policy front to back so you understand what is and is not included with your coverage. Not every plan is a Cancel For Any Reason plan! It is best to purchase early - once a named storm is heading to your vacation destination during your travel dates it is too late to become insured!! This is the best way to protect yourself and ease the burden of unforeseen costs in the event of a trip cancellation or delay.
• If a hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for the Orlando area or your place of residence within 7 days of your scheduled arrival date, Disney’s Hurricane Policy will go into effect. You may reschedule or cancel your Walt Disney Travel Company Disney Resort Hotel Package and most room only reservations (booked directly with Disney) without any cancellation or change fees imposed by Disney.
• Remember, if you have products and services provided by third-party suppliers included in your vacation—such as air transportation, hotels, car rental agencies or travel insurance companies—you will continue to be responsible for any non-refundable payments, as well as cancellation or change fees assessed by those suppliers. This magical wand is a meltdown buster, long line entertainer & happiness beacon all in one! And let’s be real. Your kids will see the bubble trail from the moment they enter the parks and will want one of their own. It’s better to purchase early and get the most bang for your buck!
🫧 I’ll let you in on another Travel Planner Secret 🤫 Not all wands are created equal. Some play music, some play sounds with the bubbles, some light up. So if you’re not keen on listening to the same melody every time the bubbles are turned on, choose one with a silent bubble feature 😉
🫧 Bubble wands range in price starting at $26 and can be found at merchandise carts all around the Disney parks as well as inside some of the gift shops. You can absolutely purchase these ahead if you catch a sale online at the Disney Store or a non-official version from Amazon. But there is a benefit to purchasing inside the parks! Should your bubble wand break, you can swap it out for a brand new one with proof of purchase (rememeber to save or take a picture of your receipt!) and refills are available for just $2. These wands last a long time between refills and are super hardy. We have wands that are going strong 2 years later and YES they are still played with regularly at home!! Worth every penny!
