Caribbean Beach Resort is one of Disney’s onsite moderate resorts, themed after, you guessed it, the Caribbean!
Jamaica, Barbados, Aruba, Martinique, & Trinidad are the 5 islands that make up this resort.
A step up from your value resorts, here you’ll find an onsite full service restaurant: Sebastian’s Bistro, pirate themed rooms, standard rooms with 5th sleepers, a themed pool with a water slide, and my favorite part, access to the Skyliner!
The difference between Caribbean Beach Resort and any other Skyliner resort is that Caribbean Beach is the main hub, which simply means you’ll have a direct flight to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, zero stops!
Rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort saw a complete makeover in 2015.
As a child raised in the Caribbean, Disney’s has done an amazing job at capturing the essence and magic of the islands. Small details like employing cast members that originate from countries in the Caribbean make this resort location very special to me.

Getting a Rise of The Resistance boarding group at 7 AM always stresses me out! My heart races & my palms get super clammy. So when I didn’t get one on Wednesday morning, I was so disappointed (I was at an offsite location with TERRIBLE signal & wifi was even worse & I would never recommened to use wifi anyway). Anywhooo, I knew I still had a chance to try my luck at 1:00 PM.

At Universal’s Volcano Bay, guests are provided with a TapuTapu wristband. Forget waiting in long lines for the next ride, you can reserve a spot on any ride and head off and enjoy another part of the park while you wait. Once your turn is up, you’ll get a notification on your TapuTapu wristband!
A few things to keep in mind:
*Guests can reserve a spot on one ride at a time
*If you attempt to reserve at another location, you previous reservation will be erased

By linking your payment information on the Universal app, guests can leave their wallets behind and make purchases within Volcano Bay using their TapuTapu wristband.

Think Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the different locations you can perform magic with the interactive wands. Same thing! There are several interactive locations within Volcano Bay that can be activated using your TapuTapu wristband.

Last minute reservations are not the easiest to grab here so being proactive and getting them in advance is super important.
The Shrimp and Lobster Mac Cheese is BOMB! I’m not a fan of the chocolate bread but the caramel butter definitely helped. Spotting it on the menu I thought I’d be eating something similar to the brown bread at The Cheesecake Factory, aside from the color, there isn’t much these two carbohydrates have in common. My server was very attentive and polite. All in all it was a great experience.
Will I be returning with my family? Hard YES.

The masks are off ya’ll! This weekend I had the opportunity to visit Universal Theme Parks in Orlando. Guests are not required to wear a mask outdoors & as a fully vaccinated guest, I did not have to wear a mask indoors either.
