Just spoke to my client who returned from his cruise to Canada on Sunday and his feedback was positiv!. He said they really enjoyed their cruise and the trip to Acadia National Park with the blue thunder hole tour.

I'm so glad he and his wife enjoyed themselves. And per our conversation I know he's not a fan of cruising however he said his next cruise he would love to go to Alaska next year. The great thing is there's something called flex pay so you don't pay all at once you're fine as long as you are paid up a 120 days before your cruise sales. This makes things more affordable.

What type of cruise is your jam? Is it the Caribbean, the galapagoscomma the Mediterranean, Europe or riverboat cruises going on the Mekong river, an African River Cruz or a cruise through France or Pirtugal?

The Bahamas is one of the best destinations for a vacation. As a travel advisor who is certified for this location and someone who has been here, I would highly recommend bookmarking this as a must for your winter vacation.

There are several ways to travel to the Bahamas. First, you can fly as it is an 80 minute flight to Nassau, which is one of the 18 island destinations in this country. There are 20 international airports in the Bahamas so getting to and from your specific destination is a breeze. Another option is to boat, island hopping, private charter plane or take a cruise. I have taken a cruise and stayed at Atlantis. Both are great options.

If you want to travel to one of the other islands within the Bahama chain, ferry or charter plane would be a good idea.

If boating and fishing is your idea of a great vacation you may want to consider the Abacos island and cay chain which is divided into 3 sections (North, central and South). This particular area is a great place to explore by land with their charming colonial towns, golf courses and a multitude of restaurants, bars and hotels. To truly experience this destination you need to venture beyond one island.

If you are looking to experience sport fishing and catch Blue Marlin, you may want to explore Bimini. Bimini is made up of two islands-North and South. In the past, the only way between these two island was to take a small ferry, but now you can take a small plane. This destination is great for diving and you can explore the underwater rock formation known as The Road to Atlantis. There are some great places to stay such as The Hilton, which has a swim up bar and 5 restaurants three bars. I would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing time and a spot of adventure.

Travel tips.

1. Research a destination or culture before you leave so that you do not accidentally offend or insult someone.

2. Download a translation app to your phone to make things easier.

3. Pack lightly and only the things you will need as the cost of replacing your luggage is expensive if you bring your whole closet.

4. Book your trip well in advance to save on cost for cruises, hotels, excursions, dining and flights.

5. Take plenty of pictures to remind you of the trip.

6. Stay with a group and in well traveled areas to avoid trouble.

7. Only bring with you the amount of money you will spend when out and about but keep the rest in a safe in your room/cabin. This way if you encounter a pickpocket you will still have backup funds.

8. Enjoy your trip!

If you're looking for a good place to have your vacation that's close by to the United States and has reasonable prices , set your eyes on Bimini with its clear blue waters in the Bahamas.

Of course Atlantis Paradise Island is also a great place to be with their water park and plenty of amenities.

If you're looking to get into a more immersive experience you can have one of the locals show you around and sample the local cuisine.
