A real beauty and one you rarely see for this area of Northern California. For those that are wondering what this stone is... It's called Orbicular Jasper and is one of the most rare types of jasper to be found in all of California.

A not so common site to see here. This is a massive chunk of Angelwing Plume Agate from the Santa Monica Mountains. I cut the base so it stands nicely and contour polished the side face to bring out the beauty in this rare and unusual type of Agate.

Last weekends Rock Walk and Gem hunt was so much fun! We hit the Santa Clarita Valley and found some amazing Agates, Jaspers and Geodes as well as some small selenite crystals as well.
