I find it utterly amazing, as just little old me, that I can stand in my yard, shooting through the trees at the 98% waning , and get this kind of detail. I used to see these amazing moon photos and just be awe stricken, and now I hold in my hand the camera and the lens that can bring the moon down to me. That is just something else. No telescope needed. Just one camera and one handheld lens, and one cropped image. :) I know others get even more detail but I am happy with this much right now. :)

It's that time of year.... busy, busy, busy. But, had to make some time for this very special family. Most don't get to jump into the lineup like they do. Can't apologize for that. In the hush of night, where waves whisper their secrets,
A sentinel of solitude stands tall, bathed in moonlight's caress.
A lifeguard throne, kissed by the ethereal glow,
Silhouetted against the canvas of the ocean's ebb and flow.

The full moon, a celestial lantern in the vast expanse,
Casts its argent glow upon the sentinel's stance.
A guardian in solitude, watching the tide's rhythmic dance,
As silver beams weave tales of nocturnal romance.

Going back through images from last year I realized there are so many I haven't shared. This is one sunset that slipped right by me. It was captured at Fort Clinch State Park on Jan 17, 2023. One year ago. Look at those gorgeous skies. I remember how mesmerizing they were then, and having captured them, I can still enjoy the beauty, though it is never the same in a photo.

A feathered march in perfect formation....

Continuing with images of those , on our recent Amelia Island River Cruises with in the background. I have always loved the majestic brown pelicans, and these white pelicans are even more majestic. Quite a bit larger with that enormous 9 foot wingspan.

We had a chance to show BBB to a friend and realtor today. While there, she reminded me I should make a video. Well, she reminded me to have one made, and though I know an actual videographer could do a much better job with a 'real' camera, I just made do with my iphone. Enjoy! Oh, and the music choice? Well, I have access to some songs I have used with my photography through the years. This is one. It usually goes with a bride and groom or engagement session :) or a really special event. So... Well, she reminded me to have one made, and though I know an actual videographer could do a much better job with a 'real' camera, I just made do with my iphone. Enjoy! Oh, and the music choice? Well, I have access to some songs I have used with my photography through the years. This is one. It usually goes with a bride and groom or engagement session :) or a really special event. So...
