After settling into our Suite, we went for dinner at Olivia’s, Old Key West’s Sit-down restaurant. The food was excellent, starting with freshly baked bread with Honey-Butter, through the appetizers, entrees and the superb dessert: Banana Bread Pudding ala Mode. I’m going to be lucky if I don’t add 10 pounds before this trip is over!

Our first day in our Suite

Arrived this afternoon for our 10-Day WDW stay.
Background: We joined DVC, a “Disney” Timeshare, in November of 1994. So every year we get “X” number of “Points” which we can use towards a variety of vacations run by Disney and their affiliates. Due to the pandemic, we, along with thousands of other DVC members, couldn’t use all of our stored points from 2019 in 2020. Disney allowed us to carry them until the end of our use year (December) in 2021. So to use these points up, we originally booked an 8-day stay in a One-Bedroom Suite at our “Home” Resort, Old Key West.
HOWEVER, shortly after making these reservations, we were awarded a FREE 4-Night Cruise on Virgin Voyages’ “Scarlet Lady”. (More on that later) Consequently, we altered our plans. We now are spending 10-Days at WDW: (7 at Old Key West and three at Boulder Creek, the DVC wing in the Wilderness Lodge) then, we will spend one night in Miami before boarding the ship for our cruise. So, we plan to update everyone daily as to our experiences. I hope you enjoy them!
