We finally made over to Gold Beach and boy is it nice! The weather is cool and the sky’s are clear! Should be a fun season! I have open dates so give me a call if you want to beat the heat and troll for salmon on the Rogue estuary!

Winner winner salmon dinner! We’re off to a good start! We’ll be fishing the upper Rogue River via drift boat for spring chinook salmon through the first week in July. Then mid July through August we transition to fall chinook salmon in the Rogue River estuary via power boat. I still have a few openings available! Hello everyone! Pacific Northwest Guide Service hopes you all enjoyed Christmas and the New Year!

We are currently seeing solid rain and the rivers are high but as soon as they drop into shape the winter steelhead fishing will be good! This year I’ll be heading north to fish the early season. I’ll keep you updated as the season progresses!

As the autumn leaves change into vibrant colors so too do summer steelhead in the glorious Rogue River. Now is an amazing time to catch them both! Pacific Northwest Guide Service has also made a couple of changes along with the seasons...

Firstly, we are now set up for twitching flys. It’s a simple and easy way to catch steelhead on fly rods from the comfort of the drift boat and a lot of fun! Lower flows and clear water make fly’s very productive this time of year.

Second, we have our offered trips and pricing set up under the SERVICES tab.

And lastly, I’m working on creating a website and looking to branch out to a few other rivers for this winter steelhead season. So stay tuned for updates.
