Disney “Easter Egg” fun facts

🐰 Easter is approaching! Let’s do an “Easter Egg” Hunt the Disney/Pixar way!

To put it simply, movie “Easter Eggs” are hidden references, clues or inside jokes that have been inconspicuously (and sometimes not so inconspicuously) placed into TV shows, video games, and movies. They're pretty much a creator's secret love letter to their fans, or in some cases an inside joke with fellow creators.

Over the years Disney/Pixar animators have made it their mission to insert hidden characters and symbols throughout their movies to add some magic and intrigue in their fun loving movies.

There are alot of hidden “Easter Eggs” out there, but I’m going to show you a few that I have seen or know of. Next time you watch a Disney or Pixar movie keep your eye out and see how many “eggs” you can find. Comment below with some of the “eggs” your aware of so others can take a look the next time they are watching Disney/Pixar movies.

1. Flounder from The Little Mermaid can be found in Moana when Maui is singing ‘You’re Welcome’
2. Enjoying their cameo in Tarzan are Mrs Potts, Chip and the tea set from Beauty and the Beast
3. Found among Lilo’s toys is a small Dumbo
4. Rapunzel from Tangled walks through the gates and past Anna as Anna sings ‘For the First Time in Forever’
5. Aladdin’s Magic Carpet seen in the village scene from Princess and the Frog.
6. What a great place to hide Mickey, Goofy and Donald Duck than in the crowd in The Little Mermaid
7. In Aladdin, the Sultan has a menagerie of toy animals he likes to play with. And the animals sure are exotic: There's a giraffe, a rhino, and — hey! — the Beast from Beauty and the Beast.
8. “A113" is an animator's inside joke: It refers to a classroom number at the California Institute of the Arts where many of the Pixar folks got their start. The number has worked its way into nearly every Pixar movie, from the license plate on Andy's SUV in the Toy Story series, to a roman numeral in Brave, to a movie marquee in Incredibles 2.
9. Takeout Food Container-You probably didn't give a second look to the logo on the takeout container in Incredibles 2, but it turns out that Pixar has been using that same pagoda design for years. You can spot it in Toy Story 4 inside the antique-shop owner's fridge, Inside Out when Riley's family gets Chinese food, among the mess in Luigi's apartment in Ratatouille, in the Pizza Planet truck in Toy Story 2 (Easter eggs within Easter eggs!), all the way back to A Bug's Life, where it doubled as Manny the Mantis' "Chinese Cabinet of Metamorphosis."
10. The Incredibles in the Land of the Dead
As Miguel and Hector walk around the Land of the Dead in Coco, they pass a poster with a few familiar-looking faces. Does this mean that the Incredible family has come to an end? Or does the Land of the Dead produce its own movies, with skeletal actors?

We had breakfast today at Topolino’s Terrace. And OMGsh!!!! It was amazing!! Fantastic food and the characters were so cute! Minimal interaction thanks to COVID precautions, but it was nice seeing characters never the less!

The MVP conference is coming to an end, but I’ve had the most AMAZING time! I’ve learned so much, met some amazing people, devoured some amazing food, and I am so excited about the future of travel. I already cannot wait to get back next year!

But for now, I’m ready to spend time reflecting back on all I’ve learned this week, and get back to planning amazing experiences for all of you!

But first- I get to see and spend my own vacation with my boys!! I’ve missed them all like crazy this week and they’re actually getting ready to fly down and meet me here for our first family vacation in a year! I can’t wait to go see the parks and have some fun this week!
