June 13th is the Feast of St. Anthony!⁣

Our pilgrims went to Padua, Italy, to visit the tomb of St. Anthony, who died in 1231. His tomb can be found in the Basilica of St. Anthony, which began construction one year after his death.⁣
⁣
Many pilgrims come to this minor basilica to place their hands on St. Anthony’s tomb as they pray for his intercession.⁣

REFLECTION OF THE DAY: DON'T HIDE YOUR FAITH.

Luke 1, 5-25 “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your plea has been heard”.

Zechariah and his wife Isabel were elderly people who had not had children and who begged God to give them the grace to be able to give birth to a child and continue their descendants; They were devout and obeyed God's law in its entirety, until one day an angel appeared to Zechariah and told him that his wife would give light to the one who would come to prepare the way for the Son of God. And before that appearance, Zacarías doubted.

How many times do we ask for a miracle and can't believe it when it happens? Do we ask our parents for a gift hoping they won't give it to us? Zechariah's lack of faith cost him the loss of his voice and he regained it until the day John the Baptist was born.

How much does our lack of faith cost us in God's miracles?

Getting up in the morning is a great blessing and from there we have a whole day full of miracles that we do not know how to recognize, and we have the habit of saying: “I just got lucky.” Well, there is no such thing as luck, what is presented to us is God's will to please our desires, no more, no less.

And we ask ourselves: How can I have faith?

We increase our faith, being sensitive to the suffering of the Son of God, who there on the cross asked for us, begged the Father to forgive us for not knowing who we had crucified. Being people of prayer, may we learn to give our hearts to God in every prayer we make, there in front of Him at home, or in church, or seeing the cross. Being good people, because faith leads us to charity and charity allows us to serve others in their needs, helping those who are weak or sick, accompanying grandparents or parents who can no longer take care of themselves, or that they have been left alone because we all took our course away from them. Let us not hide our faith, let us not be afraid to feel it and may the love and respect we have for others bring them joy when we go to visit them and accompany them in their loneliness.

This is how we will grow in the love of God and this is how our faith will have value. Saying that we do not leave the church and that we are very good people, in no way makes our faith grow, because faith without works and without good actions is of no use, these are what keep our faith alive, in love and in the service we provide and in the way in which we trust that with the hand of God, we will move forward at all times.

Today's purpose: Not to lose my faith in God and to get closer to Him in prayer and the love that I am able to share with others.

December 14th is the Feast of St. John of Cross / San Juan de la Cruz. ✝️⁣⁣

Alba's Tours, LLC is dedicated to guiding pilgrims to Alba de Tormes, a site deeply connected to St. Teresa of Avila, the patroness of our company, and a significant pilgrimage destination in the life of St. John of the Cross. These pictures include what St. John of the Cross’ room was like and a relic of his! 🙏💙⁣⁣

St. Teresa of Avila met St. John of the Cross when she was 52 years old, and he was just 25 years old. Santa Teresa de Jesus had a witty and extroverted personality, while San Juan de la Cruz was reserved. St. Teresa of Avila mentored St. John of the Cross, and they would later become Doctors of the Church! ✍️⛪️⁣⁣

St. John of the Cross was a mystic with visions of Christ Crucified. His vision of Christ on the Cross was not of him looking up above, but rather the view of God the Father looking at His Son at an overhead view. After this vision in Avila, St. John of the Cross would recreate this image with a drawing. 🎨⁣⁣

There is no better passage in the Bible to describe St. John of the Cross’ devotion than Mark 8:34:⁣⁣

Today is the Feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal! 💙⁣

Saint Catherine Labouré first saw Our Lady of Grace on the night of July 18, 1830, which was the vigil of the feast of Saint Vincent de Paul. Her guardian angel would appear as a boy and guide her to the chapel where Our Lady would appear. Our Lady would sit on a chair while talking to St. Catherine. 🪑⛪️⁣
⁣
On November 27, 1830, Our Lady would appear again to St. Catherine and reveal the Miraculous Medal. ⁣
⁣
Our Lady will then tell St. Catherine:⁣
⁣
“Have a medal struck upon this model. Everyone who wears it when blessed will receive great graces, especially if they wear it around their neck. Graces will be abundant for those who wear it with confidence…”⁣
⁣
In 1894, the Catholic Church established the Feast of the Miraculous Medal. ⁣
⁣
In 1980, during the 150th anniversary of the apparition, Pope Saint John Paul II went to visit as a pilgrim. 🇻🇦🇫🇷⁣
⁣
The Chapel at Rue du Bac, where the apparition took place, has been a must see pilgrimage site for many Catholics who are devoted to Our Lady. At this chapel, you can see the very chair where Our Lady sat as well as the body of St. Catherine Labouré! ⁣

🙏 Our visitor center and Magdala guesthouse welcomed over 240,000 pilgrims and guests. We are thankful for your enriching presence in our sacred space.

🌍 To the 101 volunteers from 21 countries, your dedication to serving God in His land has been remarkable. Your diverse contributions have made a lasting impact on the Magdala experience.

🕍 The fact that there were 2,500 guided tours and 2,000 masses held at Archaeological Park and Duc In Altum is truly inspiring.

🏆 We are humbled and honored to be recognized as one of the top 10 destinations to visit in the Middle East by Trip Advisor's "Best of the Best" award. Your reviews and support have fueled our commitment to excellence.

🌸 The 9th Women's Encounter brought together minds and hearts in a top-notch debate about "Who do you say I am?" Empowering conversations that resonate beyond the event.

August 6th is the Feast Day of the Transfiguration of Jesus! 🙏 ⁣

Located on Mount Tabor in the Holy Land is the Church of the Transfiguration where that very event took place. This Church run by the Franciscans is where God called Jesus His Son!⁣

“Then a cloud came, casting a shadow over them; then from the cloud came a voice, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”⁣

As we remember the Transfiguration let us think of how Jesus allowed only three of his disciples, Peter, James, and John, to witness such a glorious event. God allows us to experience His love and grace as a way for us to be inspired as we strengthen our faith. 🙏 Many of .tours pilgrims join us as a way to seek Jesus as we all wish to catch glimpses of heaven as we accept the graces of God.

Alba of Alba’s Tours @ Hallstatt, Austria! 🇦🇹  
 
We are heading back home 🏡 after a wonderful journey we had with the pilgrims, the different holy sites, & encounters we had. 🤗  
 
Visiting Hallstatt was a dream come true & I feel just the same way as our pilgrims who know that a pilgrimage is a dream, wish, and most importantly a prayer come true. It’s a genuine emotion filled with hope & love. That’s why Alba’s Tours is for those who want to experience genuine travel. 🙏✈️💙
