Welcome to Club Meds newest all inclusive mountain resort, Club Med Quebec Charlevoix. 🏔️🤩 I was so excited to check this out for a quick birthday trip!

After a picturesque drive from Quebec airport, we arrived just in time for a beautiful pink sunset. We stayed in a river view room which was absolutely magical to wake up to every morning!

If you love skiing, Le Massif is a bucket list destination! It has over 57 ski trails and its vertical drop is the highest in Eastern Canada and east of the Rockies. I can honestly say that all-inclusive ski resorts are a game changer!

Enjoy all-inclusive convenience: equipment rental, delicious meals, unlimited drinks, and more all in one place. Not a skier? Indulge in spa treatments, fitness classes, indoor pool, outdoor hot tubs, steam room, and tons of family-friendly activities. The list goes on!

My pictures and videos do not do the food justice as every night was a different theme with a variety of tasty dishes, it would be impossible to capture them all. There are two main restaurants offering spectacular views of the St Lawrence river and ski mountain:
La Chalet is the resort’s upscale gourmet lounge offering local dishes and Le Marchè is the resort’s main restaurant, featuring an expansive selection of local and international cuisine which was all delicious!

And of course I am excited to note that Club Med Charlevoix was built with sustainability in mind and will be awarded with a Green Global Certification. They’ve also partnered with Solucycle, a food waste management company that turns waste into green energy or compost/fertilizer.

The Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls, located near Juneau, Alaska, are not only stunning natural wonders but also hold a fascinating geological and historical history.

The Mendenhall Glacier is part of the Juneau Icefield, a vast expanse of ice covering over 1,500 square miles. It's believed that the glacier has been forming for about 3,000 years, gradually flowing down from the icefield towards the Mendenhall Lake and Mendenhall River.

Nugget Falls, a majestic waterfall cascading into the Mendenhall Lake, is primarily fed by the runoff from the glacier. The falls are a spectacular result of the melting and retreating of the glacier.

The region surrounding the Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls has deep historical significance for the indigenous Tlingit people. They have inhabited this area for thousands of years and consider it part of their ancestral homeland. The glacier and falls have played a central role in their culture and traditions.

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, explorers and scientists began documenting and studying the Mendenhall Glacier. Its dynamic nature and the evidence of its movement, including glacial moraines and erratic boulders, provided valuable insights into glaciology.

First stop on our 7-night cruise with to Alaska, nestled along the stunning Inside Passage, Ketchikan is a charming quaint town offering something for every explorer. I absolutely loved it! 🤩

Ketchikan is called the "Salmon Capital of the World," and you'll quickly see why. We explored on our own taking advantage of the beautifully designed FREE walking tour and Salmon walk. With facts and history along the way, views of the salmon in every inch of the River, the famous Creek Street, totum poles and shops. 🎣

If you're interested in getting to know the culture of the destination, make sure to visit the Totem Heritage Center, where ancient totem poles share the rich history and stories of the indigenous peoples of Alaska. It's a fascinating glimpse into the past and efforts to conserve the local language and craftsmanship. 🎨

If you love history and anthropology like I do, don’t miss the Tongass Historical Museum which has a stunning collection of artifacts and photography. I was in awe of the fossils and paleontology discoveries in the Alaska region. 🦣🐊

Don't leave Ketchikan without savoring fresh seafood at one of the local eateries and last but not least, bring home a piece of Ketchikan with you. Be sure to look for “made in Alaska” supporting local artists and business owners. 🛍️
