Finally! Tons of details just dropped about the Galactic Starcruiser "Star Wars Hotel" at Disney World, including room types, a sample itinerary, included dining, pricing, and much more!
As I suspected, this is priced like a cruise, with meals, activities, and Hollywood Studios park admission included. Disney shows pricing starting at $799 per person, per night.
A booking date still is not set yet, but the Starcruiser is set to start sailing in Spring 2022.

Disney World revealed a ton of new details on the upcoming Galactic Starcruiser (Star Wars Hotel). It will be opening in Spring 2022, so I expect reservations to open up soon! This will be a truly unique experience, almost like a cruise, with interconnecting stories, with direct tie-ins to Rise of the Resistance, and Smuggler's Run! As well, there are onboard experiences like the lightsaber dojo that have never been done before! I can't wait for this to open up!

Disney just announced reopening dates for the remaining onsite resorts, so by Dec 9, all Disney resorts will be open again! So if you are thinking about a trip this year or even next year, you have a lot more options now!

Mask Update! Based on the updated CDC guidelines, Disney is no longer requiring masks be worn outdoors at the parks, effective today! You still need to wear them on transportation, at dining locations when not seated at your table, and on attractions. They have also stopped temperature checks. More news on the Hotel, officially the Galactic Starcruiser. It's opening in 2022, with 2-day, 2-night packages that promise to be the most immersive experience that has created to date. The highlight has to be the reveal of a new Lightsaber, that really ignites, not just a plastic blade that lights up. I can't wait to get more details!

Disney just announced that they are loosening the mask policy so now you can take pictures without your mask on! Plus, they are starting to phase back in some character greetings, like with Ana and Elsa at the Norway Pavilion at Epcot.

There's been a change to the timing of the Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group timing.
Starting Dec 20, instead of 7am and 2pm slots to grab a Boarding Group, it will be 7am and 1pm. This is likely to avoid folks trying to "hop" from another park to get into Hollywood Studios to try to grab a group. Park Hopping is allowed again on Jan 1. Disney is explicitly saying that unless you have a Park Pass for Hollywood Studios that day, you are not eligible to try to grab a group.

Big News! Park Hopper is back starting Jan 1 at ! There are a few changes to how it used to work, however. Park Passes are still needed for your first park each day, and you must enter that park. Then, at 2pm, you can hop over to another park for the remaining hours that day. This is great news, and really will add flexibility to your trip. It's also a significant step back toward "normal". Here’s some news we can all use: new research shows that even the simple act of planning a vacation can boost your happiness and even increase your energy levels.
just updated the process for getting a Rise of the Resistance boarding group. Now, instead of requiring your whole group to be in the park at 10am when the park opens, you can now grab your group at 7am from anywhere.
I think this is a great change. It will avoid much of the daily rush before park opening, as I'm sure folks that didn't get an early group will not be as likely to rush to the park. Things will spread out, as folks filter in closer to 2pm for the 2nd chance at a group.
The 2nd boarding group chance stays the same, at 2pm, and your group must be in the park to be eligible.

Mickey is coming back! Chef Mickey's is on our family list of must-do meals each trip. We love the energy, atmosphere in the Contemporary Resort Atrium with the Monorail going by, and the food choices! And on Dec 16, the characters will be coming back as well! Reservations open up on October 17.

First up is Mickey And Minnie's Runaway Railway. This truly innovative ride opened at Hollywood Studios March 4, 2020. It's a fantastic trackless dark ride that's perfect for families. It uses brand-new "2 1/2 D" technology that in combination with animatronics really immerses you in the environment of a Mickey short cartoon.
