The new kitchen and hallway lighting is wired in by Creekside Construction. All of the drywall work is done and demo is complete! Now AJ's Custom Woodworks is up to install all of the 8” tongue and groove over the next few weeks.

The fridge and stove have new owners, 99% of the cabinets are out and the counters are gone. The dishwasher and cabinets...

The fridge and stove have new owners, 99% of the cabinets are out and the counters are gone. The dishwasher and cabinets will be sold or donated next weekend. The Pod arrives on Friday to move all furniture, etc. into during construction. And if you look really closely, the new cabinet color can be found! Feels great to be underway!

Our last guests of 2024 checked out today - so the remodel work has begun! I (Andy) am co-owner with my wife Jill at the Low Cabin. I’m also a licensed contractor in Wisconsin and have operated AJ's Custom Woodworks for 25 years.

I’ve started milling all of the new baseboard, window and door trim by routing, sanding and applying 2 coats of finish. It will take 2-3 weeks to pre-finish all of the trim and tongue & groove paneling. We don’t cut corners or do things cheaply - our guests should expect the best!

WOW! We are excited to announce our annual spring upgrades for 2025! It’s our biggest and best spring upgrade announcement yet! Check it out!

Spring 2025 upgrades will include:

1) A completely new kitchen with custom cabinetry by Distinctive Cabinets of Green Bay. Beautiful honed soapstone countertops by Granite Stoneworks & CabinetWorks, a new fridge, gas stove, apron-front sink and faucet and microwave. Under cabinet lighting and all new ceiling lights. The island will have a Maple butcher block top.

2) Solid Hickory hardwood floors throughout the kitchen, dining room and living room by Taylor's Hardwood Floors. The stairs are being replaced with the same hickory hardwood as well.

3) Three new windows in the kitchen, living room and dining room.

4) Several new walls on main floor to be re-done in the same horizontal pine V-groove tongue and groove like the main entryway done earlier this year.

5) Electrical and lighting upgrades

6) And more! Big nod to Ross and George at Creekside Construction for partnering with us again this year to do much of the work.

And, as always, AJ's Custom Woodworks will handle all new door, window and baseboard trim work, wall paneling, painting and so much more.

We’ll share some concept drawing in the New Year, but we’re super excited for our 2025 guests to experience a brand-new custom built and finished main floor experience!
