Why use a travel agent? My services are free to you, and when your airline cancels your flight 10 hours prior to departure time, I am the one on hold getting your flight changed, and your hotel dates moved. Unfortunately, this happened to a customer yesterday, and while it was extremely stressful for them, I hope I was able to relieve some stress by handling all the phone calls and keeping them in the loop through the process. Travel is unpredictable and stressful, and as a travel agent, I have access to phone numbers dedicated to travel agents, so I am able to get situations resolved quicker than customers calling customer service themselves. Also: always buy the travel insurance. You may never need it, but if you do, the peace of mind will be worth it!
