Cabo da Roca – the most western point of continental Europe!

“Here…where the land ends and the sea begins.” was how Camões described the Cabo da Roca in his famous book ‘Os Lusíadas’. The site is located in Sintra and it is the most western point of continental Europe.

It is approximately a 40 minutes drive from Lisbon, and about halfway on the road from Sintra to Cascais. The site is open to visitors and has a breathtaking view of both the ocean and the Serra de Sintra. Moreover there is a lighthouse, a memorial stone with the words of Camões and a shop for souveniers.

🏝 Cyprus will re-open international borders for foreign tourists on March 1🙏

The Cypriot authorities announced that the country will open its borders to foreign tourists from March 1.
Deputy Minister of Tourism Savvas Perdios said that tourists will be able to visit Cyprus without quarantine restrictions if upon arrival they do not have a positive test result for COVID-19. Thus, the travel ban has been lifted for citizens from 56 countries.

The countries for which Cyprus will open its borders will be divided into categories. These are the member states of the European Union, countries belonging to the European Economic Area, third countries and other states.

Each country, depending on the epidemiological situation within it, will be marked with one color or another. Citizens arriving from ‘green’ countries will be exempted from taking the COVID-19 test.

Tourists from the ‘orange’ zones will need to present a negative test certificate for COVID-19 before boarding the plane. These arriving from the “red” countries will need to pass a COVID-19 test before departure and upon arrival in Cyprus.

Egypt allowed international tourists and flights to come into its seaside resorts, including southern Sinai and the Red Sea province.

Travelers must show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 96 hours prior to their flight. Travelers must have a paper copy of the results as digital results will not be accepted.

Tourists must also show proof of health insurance upon arrival.

Visitors who do go to Egypt will notice health and safety protocols at hotels, including electronic check-in, temperature checks, and sanitization of luggage, according to the country's tourism site.In the meantime, explorers can check out this virtual tour of the tomb of Pharaoh Ramses VI from home, allowing people to exercise their inner adventurer without leaving the couch.

The Seychelles Is Opening to Fully Vaccinated Travelers 😉

The Seychelles, the island off the eastern coast of Africa overflowing with perfect beaches, will allow now anyone to enter the country after they have been fully vaccinated.

Vaccinated travelers from any nation, including the U.S., must prove two weeks have passed since they received their second dose as well as show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at an accredited laboratory within 72 hours of traveling, according to the island's tourism site.

Travelers will also have to fill out a health travel authorization showing their certificate of vaccination, test results, flight confirmation, and accommodation details.

By March, the Seychelles anticipates it will have vaccinated most of its adult population and expects to open to all visitors from all countries regardless of their vaccination status. However, visitors will still be required to show a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of their trip.

The popular island, nicknamed the "Garden Isle" and known for its extensive vegetation, gorgeous beaches, and challenging hikes, will now allow travelers to avoid quarantine if they test negative with a pre-travel test within 72 hours of traveling to Kauai, stay at an approved "resort bubble" property, and test negative for a second time more than 72 hours after arriving, Hawaii's Gov. David Ige recently confirmed. The new island-specific testing protocols went into effect on Tuesday.

"Travelers who participate in this program will be able to enjoy resort amenities and visit the pool for the first three days of their vacations until they are eligible to take their post-travel test," Kauai's Mayor Derek Kawakami said in a statement. "Once the post-travel test shows they are COVID-free, they can enjoy all that Kaua'i has to offer."
