Búðakirkja is a small wooden church located on the south side of Snæfellsnes Peninsula in a vast and isolated lava field. It has a historic graveyard as well as relics such as a bell and chalice from the time the church was first erected. This was one of my favorite places to see in Iceland, and highly recommended for any road trip through this spectacular country!

Fun fact…this beautiful sea glass that can be found on Glass Beach at Fort Braggs along the California coast is a result of the area being a massive dump site for years, where residents threw away everything from glass to cars, melting them down with fire when the pile became too large. Over the years, the pounding surf turned what people considered garbage into beautiful stones. A fun place to explore if you’re in the area!

Shadowed by the fame of Neuschwanstein Castle, many tourists skip a visit inside Hohenschwangau Castle, which is far more scenic inside. This is the childhood home of Mad King Ludwig II, and is within walking distance of Neuschwanstein. Both are worth a visit on your next trip!

The First Cliff Walk in Grindlewald, Switzerland suspends you over 6000 feet on a metal walkway and suspension bridge with incredible views of the surrounding mountains and valley below. A must see if you are headed to this region!

Bridge of Sighs...The last view of Venice that convicts saw before their imprisonment. It was thought that prisoners would sigh at their final view of beautiful Venice through the windows before being taken down to their cells
