Walt Disney World announced a few updates to their park pass reservation system going into effect August 23, 2022:

—Park pass reservations will now be pooled from one allotment for both annual passholders and standard theme park ticket holders.

—Guests will now be able to make park pass reservations for multiple ticket types in one transaction (annual passes + standard tickets) for up to 30 ticketed guests at a time.

—Guests will now be able to modify their park pass reservation date and/or park instead of having to entirely cancel and rebook a park pass.

The park pass booking process will remain similar to the current process. From the My Disney Experience Website (the app will redirect you) find the park pass reservation page, then:

1. Select your travel party’s tickets (up to 30 ticketed guests);

2. Select your park date;

3. Select your park (if you have a park hopper ticket you still only need a park pass for the first park you plan to visit);

4. Review and confirm.

Get those calendars out!

Walt Disney World packages for 2023 will be released on June 8!

That gives you two weeks to start planning ahead - check your school calendars, think about your upcoming school breaks and how you want to spend them!

Also keep in mind any special celebrations that you have in the next year - Disney is a great place to celebrate! The 50th anniversary celebration runs through April 2023 so if you haven't been in a while then now is the time!

Why do we recommend that you book early? With Disney more popular than ever (see our previous post!), by booking early you will get your first pick for dates, resorts, and room types. This is especially important if you DO plan around school vacations and holidays.

Note about 2023 packages: Disney also announced that as of June 8 Genie+ will no longer be able to be added to full vacation packages - rather it must now be purchased day by guests. Not sure what that means and how to plan for your trip? That's where we come in!
